Of course, true faith produces good work. It can't do otherwise. James also said if you keep the whole law, except one part, you are still guilty before God. Do you not see what is so obvious? James understood that we can never be justified by works but that they will flow from a heart of faith.

If one uses the language of the Bible then one would say that “a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law . . . not by faith alone . . . for faith apart from works is dead . . . The only thing that counts is faith working through love” (Rom. 3:28, Jas. 2:24, 26, Gal. 5:6).

No, your church says that we need to work for our salvation. Scripture does not. This is probably the most prevalent false teaching found both in Christianity and in every false religion and every cult in the world. It's why many will come before God and say "We did this for you! We did that for you!" And he will say "Depart from me, I never knew you." Because these people are the tares that Satan plants in the visible church. They have never been to the cross. They don't really believe they need the cross because they are still trying to work their way to God.
Yes, Abraham showed that he had faith by his actions and James says I will show you my faith by my actions. But those actions are the result of their faith not vice versa. The actions don't save them, they only demonstrate what already exists in them, a contrite heart of flesh.

One can have all the faith in the world but faith can only be brought to completion by IT’S WORKS....Just like Scripture says. That's exactly what you have been arguing against.
James says that a person's faith is perfected or completed by the kind of works that the faith produces. He shows that it is the kind of faith that Abraham had that made the real difference and brought about justification. Justification is entirely an act on God's part, but the kind of faith that brings about justification is the same kind that also brings about good works. It is not our works that save us, but only those who are "working" in the right way will be saved because their works will be indicative of what they truly believe in.

Now, not all works are plainly visible to everyone. In fact we are told to not boast about our good deeds.
Matt 6:1“Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

Jesus says a good tree will produce good fruit. The fruit is indicative of what kind of tree we are.

Only works done from love matter. I never said true good works aren't rewarded. But you are trying to ignore what Scripture says... Many will do all manner of good work and never be saved. They think they are doing them for God, but really it's only for a reward. It's actually selfishness dressed up to look like faith.
The Protestants don't preach against doing good. They just do not depend on it to save them.

I've been learning scripture all my life. You really aren't listening because you, like so many, think your sect is "it"... the chosen ones. You are picking out verses with no understanding. You want to believe all those pedophile priests in your church are part of God's true church? No, they are showing that they never knew him. People like that exist in every denomination. Christ never taught "Once Saved Always Saved", invented by John Calvin, a false teaching you accept.

Illuminator, this is a pet peeve of mine, so I can't let it slip by... Calvin didn't the doctrine, and for the record, he didn't invent TULIP either. Its been years since I studied Calvin, and have forgotten much. However I distinctly remember that point.

In his book Institutes of Christianity, he wrote 3 chapters on the topic of predestination. From those books, others after his death developed the doctrine of OSAS and TULIP. as a sidenote, its a shame that those two doctrines (which weren't even his) along with the concept of predestination (he did believe in it, but he was not the first and it is supported by scripture) is what he's most remembered for. He wrote dozens of books touching on many things. But no one remembers those things.

Furthermore, what is commonly believed to be OSAS was never supported by Calvin. He was actually a "pious" man, or at least he tried to be. Little known fact: he was one of the first to actually state "grace doesn't give tou a license to sin".

So in short, Calvin himself wasn't a "Calvinist"!

Again, this is a personal pet peeve of mine and so it really doesn't matter much. It is, however, the truth.

As for Calvin, I believe he had a talent and a gift. He knew the Bible very well and was very knowledgeable on early church writings. He probably could make monkees of us all without google and Bible apps. He had a very keen mind and a hardcore dedication. However, while I admire his dedication, I am not a fan. Some of his behavior was hypocritical and no, I don't agree with all his teaching.

Sounds a lot like today (including heretic and schismatic bishops and all kinds of sexual sin). If sinners in the Church were a reason to leave, there would be no Christians at all and no Church. But Jesus promised that the Church would survive -- with sinners in it — till He returned.
