If the Saved Children Of God “ don’t sin anymore” , why does the Bible talk so much about God Chastising those He loves.The Bible says when you sin , if you are loved by God he will “ scourge” His Foolish , errant Children to get them back “ on track” when they disobey Him.....If he does not punish you , you are a Bastard—- none of His!
Chastisement is a Fact! If we are not Sinning to merit this punishment from God, He must just be doing it for “ kicks”........ Please explain why God punishes Saved ,Born Again, Believers for the fun of it?

Just dont forget the part that says be zealous and REPENT .

Jesus would not tell you progressive growth is glorification. Sorry that would mean He contradicted what He inspired the writers to write with the meaning of glorification!

I'm only obeying Christ's words of "Be perfect, as my Father in heaven is perfect." Would Jesus give such a command if He didn't equip our new nature to accomplish what He set out for us to do? You seem to think it is bad to be righteous or holy. Don't you know only the righteous or holy will enter heaven? Revelation 22:11



For many decades I always heard about sanctification, but not really anything in Scripture that coincided with the teaching. I always was it as in the past tense. And you are right, you were sanctified 46 years ago if that is when you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You are not becoming more set apart. That's done.

Since my baptism I was given the ability to hear His voice, and any question I asked like 'if sanctification is being set apart, and that was accomplished when I was justified (cleansed of all past sins), then what is the name of the process of maturity we go through during our lives to become perfect?" He answered immediately, and said, "Glorification." It has been thought erroneously that we have to wait until after we are dead to be glorified, but that isn't the case. Glorification is the process of becoming more and more like Christ (who is God.) It is partaking of the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:2-4

Well even with this wrong definition of glorification you have declared yourself fully glorified as you believe you have ceased from sin!

First off, I must speak up for our sister, @CharismaticLady
I believe there is a huge disconnect when it comes to the different "kinds" of offences. There is not 100% agreement on several things between her and I. But, I HAVE learned from her. Her and I think we have become true sisters in Christ and I love her as God commanded us to love one another. It is up to US to divide the scriptures rightly. EVERYONE on here it seems has all kinds of differing beliefs. And, if you are of a thought to say something like "what if a newbie came on here and read her posts, and, and ..."
If that newbie is truly seeking, they WILL find God despite all the other teachings we might find erroneous on this site and, man o man, there is much of that IMHO.
On a lighter note :) I LOVE Andrew Farley, had to be a good 8 or so years now since I came home from work and heard him speaking on a Christian station (I leave talk radio on for the dogs when not home) At the time, I was seeking God in a way I did not realize...kind of gave up really! But when I walked through that door that day, I was amazed not only by what I heard him speak but the fact that the station I ALWAYS had on was a whole different station! I NEVER had the Christian one on so...i am still so very amazed at that! Anyhow, I started listening to him ALL THE TIME! bought his books and such as well. He is an awesome grace teacher. You also probably know that he gave up his tenure ship at Texas State (I think it was T.S.) ...he is a professor of linguistics...he left to go full force into ministry. I have not listened to him in a bit but, every so often I will tune in on Sunday afternoons to his q and a...it is call in live. Since that day I came home and heard him, it has been God or bust with me so, I attribute my peaked hope and hunger for ALL things of God to hearing Andrew Farley that day. Now, saying all of that, there are still some things I do not quite agree on with him, but his core teachings are solid.

I am one of CL's most ardent opponents on these threads, for she is teaching grievous heresy. The fact that she has declared that one can lose their salvation lets me know that she has no clue as to the depths that Jesus, Death and physical resurrection accomplished. she teaches the concept that Jesus died only for some of your sins but not all.

BUT I do not question that she loves the Lord despite all the bad teaching she has received!

Never heard of Andrew Farley. But there are tens of thousands of preachers so that should not be considered incredible. I just hope you verify his teachings with the INspired Word of God! For i t doesn't matter what a person gives up, how popular he is, how many radio stations or endorsements one gets,. but in the realm of following Jesus-the only thing that matters is how faithful are they to the teachings of the Word of god!

If we go by this belief (OSAS) ... and I do not think C.L. is a proponent of OSAS? We would have to say that all who DO believe one can lose their salvation would also mean that they would have: "no clue as to the depths that Jesus, Death and physical resurrection accomplished."
That would include many. And, I do not find this doctrine salvific one way or the other.

I do know well, her belief of living on this earth being "sinless". And, her and I part ways in this doctrine yet, we still respect one another, and we love one another because Christ commanded us to and, I get some great personal fellowship with CL.

Of course I am more than aware of all the false teachers out there. Discernment is one of the first things God honed inside of me, it took some years like, 10!... and some awful choices (thinking they were of God) to teach me this.
And as I said in my post, I am not a hundred percent on every thing he teaches. But he was certainly instrumental in truly inspiring such a hunger and thirst in me, or to "renew" it, to know God like nothing else ever did. And, it has been full speed ahead. I also believe I have grown out Andrew yet, I know he does help many. It was the right time, the right place and the right words I needed to hear and for the life of me...I cannot remember even what the subject of the question was!

This girl tries very hard to remain a true Berean...

That doctrine is biblical. It is not a soteriological doctrine but an anthropological doctrine in that it describes th estate of teh believer after they are made a new creature.

I know many believe this falsehood.

I do know well, her belief of living on this earth being "sinless". And, her and I part ways in this doctrine yet, we still respect one another, and we love one another because Christ commanded us to and, I get some great personal fellowship with CL.

Well my only relation with CL is discussing her belief system. I may seem harsh (for am I attacking the false doctrine and not her) but I have great respect for her as an object of Gods love. I wish we all could live sinless lives. But that is wishful thinking. It was one of the Wesley brothers in the 1700's who popularized the concept of living the rest of our lives sinless. It is possible- If one has learned how to deny themselves 24/7, but I nkow not one person who is mature enough in the faith who has accomplished that feat yet!

we SIN every damned hour of every damned day! You are Delusional if you think you don’t......we ALL know that ! But not you.....

I know that I take communion about once a month and that when I do, I find that there is less and less sin to be acknowledged, to the point that in a few instances, I have had nothing to confess.

Now, either there is no light in me or else I am more sanctified than I used to be.

I think that I am allowing the light of holy scripture into my soul as I read the Sermon on the Mount and the Sermon on the Plain just about every day of the week.

I believe that we walk by faith, we stand by faith, in our love we are expressing our faith.

I believe that faith is given us by God, to each a measure.

There is a gift of faith.

God is able to give the faith that leads us in victory over the flesh. @CharismaticLady tells us that she closes the day with a clear conscience, and I don't question that. She tells us that she doesn't desire sin, and I don't question that either. Whether these things be in reality true or not I don't actually know, but I'm not just going to assume she's lying to all of us. I have no reason to thing her heart is not towards God, or that God is working in her.

I believe that sort of life is what is intended for us by God, through faith in Christ in our immersion into Him.

I believe we will remain in conflict with our flesh for as long as we live in it. The body isn't evil, but it's damaged. Jesus in His incarnation was in an undamaged body, made like ours, but not damaged by sin, like ours. OK . . . most people disagree with me on that, but we can take that up in detail another time if you want.

Just the same, faith overcomes everything, and God gives faith. God can increase our faith. I don't question this sort of living for a moment, and I believe it is available to all of us who believe.

I believe God may give someone that kind of faith for a season, or for the rest of their life, should that suit His purpose. If it pleases Him.

This kind of gift of faith can accomplish many and varied things. Take for instance that God sees one of His children, that He has work He wants to do through them, but sees their impending disaster in the flesh, so He guards them from that harm to their psyche throught that gift of faith.

Or perhaps God wants to reveal the abundant life, to give hope and promise to someone who desparately needs it, and gives it for a season. I can think of others reasons. God could have any number of reasons!

I don't know that we always understand what God is doing, or has done. There is so much I feel I didn't really understand for many years. And there are things now I do not feel I understand well. But that doesn't change the reality if this is what God is doing.

I've come to the point of view that living and walking in God's sanctification is the immediate and continuing result of faith in the efficacy of our immersion into Jesus' death, and thereby joining Him in His resurrection.

I'll put this another way. I find that the impediment to my fellowship with God is when I feel disqualified. Maybe I've committed some sin. Maybe I've been reflecting on past sins. Maybe I'm concerned over my areas of inner weakness. Maybe maybe. The single and powerful antidote is to fill my mind with the Word of God that declares me reconciled to God, and I trust Him that this is true. And He keeps His promises to me, one of which is that He's given to me all I need for life and godliness.

We trust Him for this, and be it to us according to our faith. Somehow, my eyes still sometimes slide away from Jesus onto the waves. And what I train my mind to do is to detect that sometimes very subtle shift, and put my mind back on Jesus.

And it's like, just being in His presence drives all thought of sin away, banished by the light and warmth of His love.

Neither do I know of any who never fall short.
OSAS is something that is not yet cemented with me. I believe it in the sense that if one is saved, and STICKS with running this race then, I cannot even imagine anybody going back to their old man. Then, there are those who were apparently "saved" (the seed parable) but gave into the temptations from Satan, so their seeds never took root, or were burned by the sun (rocky soil).
This forum is in my prayers daily as it is the best fellowship I can get! And, I have grown close to many on here. We have to let all grow together and when His time is right...He will sickle (well, His angels will :) ) a remnant from places maybe you and I would never even think He would choose from. We can point out other's doctrines as being false all the day long and, right we should. Yet, if it gets to personal attacks, that is where I must draw the line. If someone want's to point out other's error's, false doctrine's that is biblical but, one will or will not accept it. Therefore...we shake the dust off and move on.
We can badger those we heartily disagree with also but...rarely does it change minds and hearts to our own way of interpretations and beliefs.
Prayer is the answer to everything to me, lol...it is so very powerful!

When we go through the process of being glorified, it is ONLY because Jesus shines through. We must abide in Him, and He in us. And the more of Jesus that shines through us the more He is glorified in us. It is nothing to do with us, it is all God in us.

Galatians 1:24
And they glorified God in me.

when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.

But no one is becoming like Jesus who is still a slave to sin. You may be under the false doctrine that the process of sanctification throughout our lives is overcoming SIN, when that was dealt with when we were born again, IF one has been baptized with His Spirit. That definition of sanctification is false. The process of becoming more and more like Jesus and having His mind, is glorification.

Just like Paul I was as terrible sinner, but since all unrighteousness has been cleansed from my nature, I am no longer a sinner, but a child of God. Paul and I are new creations. Our natures have been born again to be able to partake of the very divine nature of God.

I would just point out that those whom Jesus said will "never perish" are those whom Jesus knows (John 10:27-30).

But if you are a worker of iniquity, Jesus never knew you...Matthew 7:23.

See also Matthew 13:41-42 and Matthew 13:49-50.

It would indicate that those who really believe in Jesus have repented of their sins and are therefore not "workers of iniquity".
