Maybe.
@EarlyMarksman You got a Bible ref.; nurses do it big time and use them as ice breakers. They do work.
Perhaps your mom and dad understand a bit better now why you did it?

@Heart2Soul Even though you're not planning it, maybe your daughters did give you the impression it's what they thought doing it is like, at least?I don't know about it feeling good....lol.
@Naomi25 Anyway @GodsGrace was likely right in her observation that nowadays getting inked up is what so many of even those of a very conservative disposition expect to have done, don't you think?Well...not sure it had anything to do with her femininity.
I think that might be overstating it. "Expect to have done". No. I think more are considering it, even choosing it. It's not considered 'bad' like it once was. But I think probably a more in depth polling would need to be done before anything definitive could be said one way or another. And truly, I am in the wrong part of the world to be able to comment, based on the 'pool of observation' of what I see!@Naomi25 Anyway @GodsGrace was likely right in her observation that nowadays getting inked up is what so many of even those of a very conservative disposition expect to have done, don't you think?

Probably 75% of the congregation have tattoos, including myself and the Pastor
Lol! Oh goodness yes...not a single person in our congregation has a tattoo! Of course, we're a very small, rural church, and most members are above 60. And Baptist...did I mention Baptist?@Naomi25 A thoughtful, reasonable comment.
As regards polling, yes, more in depth info would be good. I tried to supply a lot of possible poll answer options, above. (Thanks for your vote.)
People's areas and social circles are all different, I guess; in @FHII 's, he reports:
(This would kind of heighten the potential for conversation-friendly faith designs, I reckon.)
Maybe your area/social circle is a bit different, though?

@John Caldwell Back; well, as a military man you'll be very aware it's very much something that military men do, of course, isn't it; and now of course the proportion of military women that have it done is especially large.A couple are (crosses). One is a catamount (an Army mascot).
@CharismaticLady ... & indeed it's why a lot more ppl now are prepared to undergo the inking procedure. Some is beautiful, that's for sure.
@michaelvpardo PS: So were you surprised by the poll results so far?maybe I forgot to click the cast your vote button, but I did it now to be sure.
@soul manYes, my girls love the ink -:)

Even those very conservative types
@EarlyMarksman Well, no need, really, now to ask; it's what ppl do once they are adults, right?Haven't really asked them if they understood why.
@soul man You're right! And when Christians do it now - and so many do - it's often an opportunity to be ready to give a reason for their hope, right?Yes true, seems everyone is doing it
PS: @soul man Doing a sleeve used to be such a man thing but now it's become something that many women have the confidence and strong wish to do - like maybe your daughters might eventually want, also, right?Yes, my girls love the ink -:)
