@CharismaticLady Perhaps so, yes. She seems immensely experienced now. Years back very few women seemed to make it as tattoo artists, but it's women like Ryan Ashley who have worked so successfully to change this. (It could be said that if a woman for whatever reason wants to be inked by a woman, then she should have this option, and this is now increasingly feasible, right?)I don't remember. She must have said how long on her first episode.
@Waiting on him So do you now know if she has decided to take the plunge and become apprenticed yet?She says would have to work as an apprentice for 1 year minimum, to be licensed.
With two small children she says it not possible@Waiting on him So do you now know if she has decided to take the plunge and become apprenticed yet?
@Butterfly For some ppl, they instinctively dislike the idea and associate it with being wracked with guilt, etc...you can't live in a very built up area then if you cannot find ' anyone ' that has liked their tattoos years later- I know loads of people that like what they had done, many are now in their 40--60's age ranges, me included.
@jshiii So is your son military / ex-military?Nothing against Tattoos, as my son has enough for all of us lol.
I think what makes grey tattooing so special is that it's neither in the character of colourful tattoos, but neither is it in the character of bold, black tribal style ink. It's got a character of its own and can come across as rather refined. (If this makes sense?)I love Ryan Ashley's look ...
I think you may have indicated she still regrets her previous one.Ha! Yes, I believe so. :)
@CharismaticLady BTW, do you think that, if it the custom for women to be tattooed as well as men had been more widespread earlier than subsequently became the case, you might yeas ago have become more open to it? (No need to answer very specifically; just generally speaking...)I love Ryan Ashley's look, but she does have some tats that don't go with the rest. They are too dark.
If you like the pain of getting tattooed, you may like a non-ink show called Kings of Pain. These two guys catch and allow themselves to be stung or bitten by the most painful stings and bites on the planet for science.
@charity Maybe this relieves you a bit also...? (although I know you also respect her wishes...)Ha! Yes, I believe so. :)

@CharismaticLady Thanks; and I guess the question was also very hypothetical, and could have been stated in other ways. I guess it could instead have been asked in terms of, Would you now want to receive something of the now available good stuff, if you were at a different stage of life? (although this is somewhat convoluted, I know, and maybe equally hypothetical, maybe no answer is even possible.)No, I doubt it. I know myself to be impulsive, and am trying to control that. Besides, my tastes change, and the good stuff is being produced now, not back then.
@Sabertooth Which is another way of saying, I suppose, that we must expect to have fellowship from time to time with tattooed Christians...or Christians who happen to be tattooed, right?Even if people are wrong about tattoos, they are being faithful to the amount of revelation that they have thus far.
Yes. And Christians who sport mohawks and Christians named for pagan gods, etc.Which is another way of saying, I suppose, that we must expect to have fellowship from time to time with tattooed Christians...or Christians who happen to be tattooed, right?
@Sabertooth Well, a lot of women have hair cut into fauxhawks, anyway...Yes. And Christians who sport mohawks, etc.
I still think of it as a gray area. People must make peace with the Holy Spirit on a case-by-case basis.Tattooing has become so widespread that a lot of Christians would regard going to the parlor as something mainstream to do (if 'mainstream' is the right word...).
@Sabertooth Oh I know what you mean, I think. But while some Christians might think of it as a 'just about permissible' activity, others, such as the young lady my wife and I talked to who had the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area, would even regard it pragmatically as a highly useful witness means, the parlor inking for which might be received with strong, positive conviction.I still think of it as a gray area. People must make peace with the Holy Spirit on a case-by-case basis.
