If youre a born again believer in Jesus youre a christian. In 1517 protestant meant something vastly different than it does today. Today they (whomever they are) lumped anyone not a catholic into a this group called protestant. This includes mormons, jw's, oneness pentacostals and others who are not christian in the least. So, while i do 'protest' false gospels i reject the term itself. I like you call myself nondenom but thats simply because i've never liked labels. Call me a christian, thats a label i'd wear proudly.

Soooo you admit that today society calls anyone that is not a Catholic a Protestant but you don't want to be called a Protestant????

I am providing passage after passage and you won’t deal with any of them. I asked 6 or 7 before or after questions that you passed on. You now say all Cornelius had to do was “believe” which you must mean “mental ascent” and his sins would be forgiven, even though he was immediately baptized in the name of the lord. You have Peter now preaching a totally different doctrine then the one he preached on pentecost. On Pentecost, baptism “in the name of Jesus” was FOR the remission of sins. It was and is and always will be.

You even said that Rom 10:9,10 is a prayer? You have to pray out loud? You confess with the mouth for the benefit of others, not God. God knows what your gonna say before you say it. What did the Eunuch in acts 8 do? Pray out loud to God? No, for the benefit of Philip he said...I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. He was then baptized in water.

Show me one thing Paul wrote to an unbeliever. Maybe he addressed believers who had sinned or fallen away, but every letter was addressed to Christians. Show us the one that wasn’t.

This will be the final thing I deal with. You specifically said....

I highlighted the important part. You just said that since it says “faith with no other qualifier” YOU JUST IMPLIED that it is “faith alone”! So you are lying about what you said. This is why I posted those verses WITHOUT QUALIFIERS, because if one verse doesn’t have a qualifier and it means “alone” then the others do too. This is the absurdity I was highlighting. You are running away from your own statement. You are not honest so therefore I’m done.

And I've answered your questions and provided scripture. Calling me a liar does it for me, too.

I brought this up in another post in here. To me, the essentials are: 1. Salvation by God-the-Son, covering our sins in His sacrifice 2. Following Jesus commands (1. Love God with all of our heart, mind, soul 2. Love the neighbor) 3. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable.

So here you suggest what you believe to be 3 essential criteria/qualifications/conditions to salvation, and yet you leave out the very first that Jesus Himself said was an absolute and without which the above 3 are impossible...ye must be born again.

I'm not the only one, lol. Ask any believer. We attend local churches as individuals but are all a part of the body of Christ as a whole.

But rather, many have been drawn directly by the Father, read His word, and received it--which according to that original claim by Christ is exactly according to His plan to build His church.

So, the history of the church does not make the church of Christ, the church. But rather the spirit of the Father who draws us to Himself--this is Christ's church, in which there is no Jew nor gentile, no male or female, etc., nor any Catholic or Protestant.

While in ideal terms denominations are not a good thing, in practical terms they were a necessity for Christians to depart from sin, evil, heresy and apostasy within Christendom.

It is extremely rare -- perhaps non-existent -- for false teachers to repent and turn back to the truth. The Protestant Reformation is a good example. Rather than repent of its sins, the Catholic Church chose to double down on its false teachings and practices, and then persecuted and killed those who rejected this church.

At the same time, the Reformers failed to go into a total Biblicist mold either, and carried some the Catholic baggage with them. Then by the 19th century, theological liberalism entered into the Protestant churches and corrupted them from top to bottom.

If the Church is the body of believers (your theory) then explain Matthew 18:17....

If the Church is the body of believers how can all 2 billion of us be the pillar and foundation of truth?

If his Church is the pillar and foundation of truth and every church has it's own truth then none are the pillarsEVERYONE can't have the truth when all that truth is different.......your theory needs more work.

Your theory is not based on what is in Scripture. I know you will never see or admit the folly of your beliefs but you should reconsider what you have been taught.
