Does anyone want to guess how much longer America will last?

I signed up for several Christian prophecy-watch news alerts and I'm concerned. We're hemorrhaging money in foreign wars, manufacturing has all but left, and illegals are pouring across our border nonstop - this time it's Congolese pouring into Maine and the DHS has said that they are not getting health checks. I've thought for awhile that we're going to have a pandemic or that's how a nuclear attack is going to come by someone breaking into the country.

We know that no country can last this way. Most people pretty much think we're close to the end, but does anyone care to speculate when that might be - or how? I read one website that said that 2019 will be it, and another popular date is 2025.

Any guesses how long America is going to remain on life support? Has anyone made preparations?

I actually read last night that a major collapse is going to happen in 2019 and I wondered what others thought. I'm old too and have lived my life:)

It's odd that you mentioned the weather because there was just a huge tornado a few days ago where a family member lives in the next town. It actually tore a very large tree out, and picked up a trampoline and dropped it down somewhere else. It ripped fences out and they had to close the street down. We have never had tornados in our part of the country and I wondered why they're happening now.

What is happening in Canada - are you having similar troubles to what's going on in America?

None of the Christians that I know are preparing, and our church or bible study hasn't talked about it, but If I knew that the country was definitely going to collapse I'd probably stockpile a lot of food since I read that we'd become broke like Venezuela - I've seen photos of empty food shelves. I'd probably take our money out of the bank because a law was signed by the previous President that in the event of need, the government has the right to clean out your bank account. I've been trying to keep my finger on the pulse of the news so I can gauge when and if we should withdraw our money.

We're in very uncertain times.

When Trump was on the campaign trail I bought into his rhetoric about the illegals creating problems. It's interesting to note that Hitler spoke about the Jews in the same way by telling Germans that they were the cause of their misery, lack of jobs, etc. I don't want to get into any Trump issues but I wonder as a Christian what Scripture teaches we are to do with illegals. Christ showed everyone compassion. I am troubled by the influx due to them not receiving health checks. The latest group are allegedly fleeing Ebola - but will they bring it here? I'm also concerned about terrorists getting in. But Christ told us to do unto others what we would have them do unto us.

I wondered if anyone else wrestled with this question. When are we to protect our families and when are we to extend mercy? It seems like a tough call.

Hard to fathom, i know, but the world is perfect, right now, and now is the best time of your life.
These are the good old days.
You guys just ate a piece of fruit, and it was sweet on your tongue huh, but now you got a tummy ache prolly ok. It'll pass. Everything will be fine. Life is not over. It's just the end of the world as you know it, that's all i'm sure. Your ancestors were once immigrants here, and the ppl here were claiming the sky was falling and worried about your ancestors diseases too right. But the river's still flowing ok. I have to confess that I am not "up on" what anyone is saying about "the end of the end". I have become at total sceptic where what man says , said, or will say. Since the 60's I've hard so many predictions. Even got excited about some of them. The Y2K was my biggest 'fail'. We did really expect , the Beast to really show it's hand, and the collapse of all communication.

We stored up gas, oil , candles ( still have them in the garage) lots of dried food. Got a great big water tank and purifiers, bleach, you name it we got it.
Most of it from a Mormon Store house. And " waited at the top of our mountain" as it were.

N O T H I N G

That was the second big time we had fallen for the silver tongues. Never again.
When the good time ends, it end. When Jesus comes He will come.
And personally, I don't believe He will tell anyone anything.

I think it will be a case of - "ready or not, here I come."

But, yet I do believe that we are in 'the beginning of the End'....but The End could still be not in our life time.

Canada has strange weather. Winter was strange, and there is no way we can call 'this' summer. I've never seen the UK ( where I come from) as strange as it is now. Something is happening, but I have no idea what.

Absolutely NO call for what this "peace" officer did. He couldn't just slap the cuffs on her or just restrain her??!! Come Lord Jesus, Come! I believe you are correct SG, this IS a bananna Republic...and fast becoming a policed state.
As far as being prepared, well...one should have to have enough money to stock in a large way, so far...I have a ton of glass bottles filled with water in my basement. Hmmm...maybe I can get some MRE's from some of my friends in the military! They are lousy but, packed with all the nutrients ya need and they last forever! Well, just a thought :)

Yeah, it is a very tough call. My thoughts go to faith and "...wise as serpents and gentle as doves? God, IMHO, has no borders in His plan but then again, I do not think there is anything at all wrong about protecting you and your family. Borders would not be a problem if these countries that folks are escaping would take care of their people. NOT to mention all of the corrupt politics in the US alone. Of course, it will not get better but worse we are a very duped people and the corruption has gone past the point of return, all because of greed, but then...God ♥

The church says that no man knows the hour; or the day; or the month; or the season; or the year (1); or the decade (10); or the score (20); or the century (100); or the daytona (500); or the millenia (1,000); -- but GOD says HIS children will know all these except the day or the hour:

1 Thess 5:3 When people say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brethren, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 5 For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we are not of the night or of darkness.​

So are there any of GOD's children, or are there only church goers?

You know, it comes to me, that there's NO BASIS for the purported "forty year generation". Generations are TWENTY years apart, and last for SEVENTY years. So who's the idiot who proposed a FORTY year generation?!?

As such the 1948 to 1988 expectation was FLAWED from the beginning. Doomed to FAILURE. Sent by a DECEIVER to confuse a GULLIBLE audience.

But what DOES make sense, is a 1948 + 70 = 2018 premise. And one can only conclude that in 2018 something would be MILESTONED both in Scripture and HISTORY, -- kinda like how Psalms 117, 118, & 119 each have their unique significance; and how Trump recognized Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel last May of 2018.

So I guess 2018 was the START of the 42 month (Rev. 13:5) TRIBULATION! Imagine THAT! We're in the TRIBULATION, and we're about to start a war in the middle east in which nuclear weapons will be used. -- Iran, Russia, Lybia, Sudan, all converging on Israel. Starting this summer.

imo if you got about 1/4 acre garden and a couple chickens and got your news from there you d be fine!

seems horrible huh?. but really your gkids willl just drive around it and everyone will surely muddle through fine. there are already to many alt choices for safe havens and opps imo; things are lit cooking. i could name 100 emerging fields right now. btc has obv bottomed, and the $ is less than 8 years from insolvency. i'd be more heavily weighted to bitcoin than dollars right now, maybe even more than manure, which just has never stunk, ever, good times or bad. gotta turn it tho lol

In spite of a tremendous effort by the enemies of America, it is going to last for some time, and it is best to ignore all the doomsayers (who have their own agendas).

The focus of Christians at this time should be on bringing souls to Christ through the Gospel, not focusing on the negativity that is being promoted daily from all sides.
