I completely agree. Been watching things develop since the beginning of the 1980s myself. I remember freaking out over the movies "The Day After" and the classic "Red Dawn".

One thing about the spying bit is that there is probably a bigger concern with large corporations. And social media. The government has to go 'hat in hand' begging tech giants to give them the information that those companies already possess. Or can easily obtain. "Please open this terrorist's phone for us!" They refuse. Thumb their noses. We can't wait for the next release of their products. We're kind of doing it to ourselves.

Skimmed a headline the other day that said super computers will eventually break down the internet's encryption. Then what?? (I'm NOT helping, am I?!) A.I. is going to replace jobs and then supposedly control robots to kill us. I just hope that they are efficient at it! A 'clean kill shot' thankyouverymuch!

I've tried to remain philosophical about it. God chose to let us live during just about the most significant period of human history. The things we get to witness are astounding. People worried just as much at other times in history. Droughts, plagues, famines, invading armies, bandits. We've had it very good all these years. Our standard of living and security has somewhat caused us to take our ease. Times will likely get harder. Many people even in our modern times in other locations have never known what we tend to take for granted.

Yes, human nature, particularly demonically influenced, will most definitely abuse it. I am thankful that we should escape the worst of it.

Please trust me, I fight off the very same thoughts and concerns that you do. You caught me on a good day. I only skimmed those 16 pages, but I have done some prepping. I also live in what has become a very active hurricane territory. Houston. One must prep just for that.

Prior to WWII and modern refrigeration and supermarkets, everybody was a 'prepper'. Nowadays everyone acts like this is some weird practice. 7 fat years put away enough for lean 7 years. Now that's serious prepping! Of course, if you are down to you last bit of flour and oil, might as well give it to the prophet.

Thank you for the smile - I needed it (you hope that the robots end it quickly). I haven't heard about super computers yet and what that means to encryption. AI is concerning. A family member told me about a twitter bot that picked up everyone's bad habits and was going around being nasty to everyone, so that should let us know it's not a good idea to let robots think for themselves. I'm concerned that our standard of living is going to drop substantially - I already see the signs of it. The middle class is dropping to the poor and the younger generation are having a difficult time surviving financially. The entire plan is to flood the U.S. with the 3rd world and overwhelm welfare. Add that to the national debt and we're on our way to a collapse.

I don't know how much we're going to escape - it's pretty bad now. We're in a police state as it is, we only think we're in a democracy. I know people who have committed suicide because the government scared their doctors so bad they took them off all pain medication - even those with cancer. Vets have been killing themselves. People don't know how bad it's gotten until you develop a serious infirmity or are injured. "A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves" has proven true. My neighbor's unarmed grandson was shot to death by police and no one was held accountable. The government has too much power now. It's not the way it's supposed to be.

How do you like Houston? We thought about retiring there but the beaches in FL are nicer from what I could see. We've never been to TX but were going to look around the Houston area. How do you store water? Did you put away dry beans or buy prepper food? I'm afraid of a nuclear war - that's the way I think it's going to happen. We don't have the extra money for a shelter though. Haven't you wondered why all the wealthy people were building bunkers? I wondered what they knew.

The PC is terrible. I read what they're doing to even school kids. I read today that because this young, straight A student girl did a science experiment and it caused a small explosion she was taken out of school in handcuffs and charged with two felonies. It would appear from recent news reports in conservative media that a red wave is imminent. I'm not sure what Mr. Trump has done to ensure that there is ZERO voter fraud, since that could tilt everything illegally.
