He too believes that he will make America great , after the last President left the pieces for Trump to pick up.

Anyway @Lizbeth I’m going to now bow out, as I’m not here to pick holes and nit pick the President Of the United States.

I’ll leave you to carry on doing that.

Hey sister, funny you should quote that. I made the same scripture into a gem the other day. Praise the Lord.

That makes two who, in an effort to condemn Conservative Christians for supporting our president prove they can excuse scripture they know nothing about.

What does 2 Timothy 2 mean?
Chapter Commentary:

Chapter 2 focuses on the ideal character of the person who serves Christ. Several word-pictures are given. These include the example of Paul (2 Timothy 2:1–2), a soldier (2 Timothy 2:3–4), an athlete (2 Timothy 2:5), a farmer (2 Timothy 2:6–7), Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:8–13), a worker (2 Timothy 2:14–19), a vessel (2 Timothy 2:20–23), and a servant (2 Timothy 2:24–26).

Rather than give elaborate details for all of these, Paul points out that Timothy—and, by extension, modern readers—need to carefully consider these ideas in order to fully understand his meaning. This is consistent with Paul's other instructions to study the Word of God, rather than merely reading with shallow or immature eyes (1 Corinthians 14:20).

First, verses 1–2 emphasize Paul's own example. Timothy was to take what he had learned and teach it to others who would teach still others. This has always been the primary means of spreading the gospel: discipleship. While the written word is important, Christianity has always been meant to be spread through relationship and person-to-person teaching.

Second, Paul uses the word picture of a soldier (2 Timothy 2:3–4). Christians are to share in suffering—hardship for the sake of Christ—like a soldier. Soldiers are characterized by their discipline: they are not distracted by "civilian pursuits," they work together as a team, and their primary focus is on following the instructions of their leader. So too are Christians to be concerned, first and foremost, with the work of God and His will.

Third, verse 5 uses the word picture of an athlete. An athlete does not win unless he or she competes according to the rules of the game. Breaking the rules in an effort to "win" does not actually mean winning. It means disqualification. In the Christian life, as in athletics, there are boundaries which cannot be crossed.

Fourth, verses 6–7 focus on the role of a farmer. The farmer is the one who should have the first share of the crops. The image of a farmer also invokes the ideas of patience and hard work.

Fifth, verses 8–13 emphasize the example of Jesus. Paul's description includes Jesus' resurrection, as well as a statement in the form of a hymn or poem regarding Christ's faithfulness (vv. 11–13). The term "Christian" was originally applied to believers due to their imitation of Jesus (Acts 11:26). Those who claim the title of "Christian" should, literally, strive to be "Christ-like."

Sixth, verses 14–19 emphasize Timothy's role as a worker. He is to present himself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed. This passage clearly highlights the importance of diligent study. A Christian's faith is not intended to be accidental or casual. This is a theme of Paul's other analogies in this passage. Farmers and soldiers are also focused on their tasks. For a leader, especially, it is crucial to have a well-trained understanding of the Word and will of God.

Seventh, verses 20–23 focus on Timothy as a vessel. Timothy was to live a clean life and be ready for every good work.

Eighth, verses 24–26 speak of Timothy's role as a servant, offering many attributes upon which to focus his work for God. His goal was to help others escape the snare of the devil (v. 26).
Verse Context:
Second Timothy 2:1–13 presents a series of examples Paul wants Timothy to consider. Among these are soldiers, athletes, farmers, Jesus Christ, and Paul himself. Rather than give extensive details, Paul encourages Timothy to consider how each of these applies to his own life. The context for all of this is ''suffering,'' meaning the hardships endured for the sake of Christ. Those who endure do so by the power of God, not their own efforts.
Second Timothy 2:14–26 contains Paul's instructions to Timothy about leading other believers. Two important themes here are avoiding pointless bickering and holding to sound biblical teachings. Arguments over non-essential issues quickly turn into feuds, poisoning the body of Christ just as gangrene attacks the physical body. Paul names specific false teachers, but brings a note of compassion. Here, he reminds Timothy that gentleness and patience are key. After all, those who do not believe are not our enemies: they are those we are trying to rescue from the control of the Devil!
Chapter Summary:
Paul gives Timothy a clear mandate to defend the truth. This includes both upholding the gospel accurately, and presenting that defense in a gentle and loving way. While truth is important, Paul also notes that there are some issues which are only distractions. He considers these "babble," and arguments over them a form of spiritual disease. Like gangrene, this bickering only spreads and spreads until it becomes catastrophic. The ultimate goal of our evangelism is not to "win" an argument, but to rescue lost people.
Chapter Context:
In chapter 1, Paul gave Timothy encouragement by reminding him of his heritage and spiritual power. Here, in chapter 2, Paul expands on these commands. Rather than giving minute details, Paul presents a series of examples and tells Timothy to consider them carefully. Paul's instructions here set the stage for the warnings coming up in the next chapter. Timothy—and all believers—need to be prepared and right-minded, because the world is going to become spiritually darker and darker.
Book Summary:
Second Timothy is the last New Testament letter written by Paul. Paul writes these words while awaiting execution by Rome. At this time, around AD 67, Timothy was leading the church in Ephesus. Paul writes to Timothy in order to encourage him. Paul is facing the worst of all hardships: his own impending death. So, he encourages Timothy to stand strong in his faith, with a reliance on the written Word of God. This letter echoes many of the themes Paul uses in his other letters.

The Pope said atheists can go to heaven.

The Pope said, when Trump on his first term was working on improving our border wall, that walls are immoral.
He said this from behind a wall that surrounds his Papal palace.

This is after Trump survived the assassination attempt.

He believes that God will make his country great again....what a lovely testimony from Mr Trump...notice he gave all glory to God....Loved listening to that....he does sound extremely genuine and sincere....his “ Heart” is for his country...that’s what I got from hearing that lovely speech.

Praise God and I wish Trump all the best in office.

It's hypocrisy.

They go on about not investing in the affairs of this world, and on and on.
All the while judging President Trump and his relationship with God.

It's a new TDS with a self righteous yet hypocritical twist.

Seriously, what the hell is going on here?

This isn't another site like Landover Baptist is it?
I am concerned about them. Ultimately when this Antichrist takes over, will they follow him, will they get in line and take his mark? He's the source of the Left - Wing agendas: Globalism, Socialism, The Climate Deception, the long list of evils that contribute to population control, hate, lies, antisemitism ...
They call Trump a liar.
Let's examine his so called lies.
1. 12+ million of illegals entered the USA? Of this number, 600k were criminals: drug dealers, human traffickers, terrorists. ??
2. Biden's policies caused inflation. ??
3. Regulations have squeezed profits from corporations. Trump will remove many.
4. We were energy independent before Biden took office. He suppressed and stopped oil production which inturn led to higher prices for everything.
5. Covid-19 came from Wuhan, China
6. Hundreds of billions of dollars of our tax dollars have been fraudulently stolen.
7. Hundreds of billions of dollars have been wasted by the government.
8. Countries have taken advantage of the USA and frankly overcharge us on tariffs and costs.
9. Trump says the Globalism is disguised Climate Change Accord - which is a hoax.
10. Iran is fighting a proxy war and needs to be stopped nuclear program and all.
11. The Ukrainian Deal Trump offered was their only hope. Putin is evil, one of Satan's boys, so whether this will work out is hard to say.
12. Trump is influencing manufacters to come back to the states.
13. Trump is a Christian! Trump Recognizes Holy Week: Resurrection of Jesus Changed History
14. There are only two genders, male and female!

The list is much longer. These things are true and Trump is making good on his promoses to reverse them. (except for #11)

So where are the lies?

She's a committed TDS Canadian.

After the assassination attempt many observed Trump's demeanor softened.

God bless America and President Trump.

If God can bring up Nebuchadnezzar for Israel's exile for 70 years, He can bring up the right person for the USA. I've seen for the last 30 yrs how far the world has changed for the worse and I'm glad I have a savior in Jesus Christ, that when then end does come, I have an eternal home to go to. I put no hope in any other than my God in heaven.

Even if Trump doesn't make America great it is worthwhile to expose deeds done in darkness to make people more aware of the choice between God or the world. It is also clearly God's will, so I'll stand with God even if he decides to bring about the end through his chosen leader for the US be it directly or indirectly.

Socialist agendas that kill and oppress the innocent, empower the lawless, make the poor poorer, set back man's dominion over the world, or that promote conflict and hate need to be opposed for the wellbeing of all.

We need to reflect on our own motivations that lay in cowardice for the fear of man when we remain silent. Granted not every hill may be worth dying on. But our silent acceptance speaks to our apathy.

Mr. Trump is the most "accomplished and effective liar" to have ever participated in American politics; moreover, his lying has reshaped public discourse so that "the frequency, degree, and impact of lying in politics are now unprecedented".

Historians stated that U.S. presidents have occasionally "lied or misled the country," but none were a "serial liar" like Trump.

Donnel Stern, writing in Psychoanalytic Dialogues in 2019, declared: "We expect politicians to stretch the truth.

But Trump is a whole different animal," because Trump "lies as a policy", and "will say anything" to satisfy his supporters or himself.

Sure, yes he is a "Born Again Christian."
And you shall know them by their fruits is just some scripture not to be taken seriously.

There's something very concerning when those identifying as Christian and citizens of another country focus on slander, defamation against an American Christian who also is our president.
Going so low as to insist they know God does not know him.

They might prefer to focus their concern on whether or not God knows them.

Because what they're doing does not comport with God's guidance. Especially as some of them do so from a self righteous standpoint that demonstrates there's actually nothing righteous in their motivation.

Hes extremely down to earth isn’t he?....and such a sense of humour...

Look how he said , you don’t look like a bank robber, John, then gave him a few pats. clfh..there’s just something about him that the people love.....I think it’s him, “ truly being true to himself” in other words he’s not putting on an act for the cameras...

Well...your discernment doesn’t make it Gods truth now does it....all you do is post your opinion of Trump and stand in judgement of him..

I’ve done the same, only in a different area....only God can judge.

And whose to say that he hasn’t given you over to strong delusion. @Lizbeth ?
All according to your own commentary....

Why do you believe all what you post?

I said imo that God has put Trump there to make America great....” IMO” did you miss that?

I don’t think that I have to explain to you....why I think trump is going to make America great again, do I?

Many members here are very, very happy that Trump is once again President....they know their own country and who it needs to be President.....obviously the people chose Trump.

Praise God....America chose their President and I wish him well....many Love the man...they probably sense his genuineness......he delivers I guess....
I wish him well too, and America. A political opinion is just a political opinion, we all have them and I'm not married to mine, though I think God does gives practical wisdom to His children for practical things related to life in this world. A society or church that falls away from Him can't expect to have practical wisdom but the opposite....a spirit of stupor and drunkenness as judgment. But when the Lord speaks and shows things to come and what is going on spiritually, I pay attention and receive what He is saying. We need to hear from Him, and not lean on our own carnal understanding or what carnal man says.

Yes, many love the man, that is true. What kind of love is the question.

God made him President...God saved him from death...imo...

So interesting that you compare him with Nebuchadnezzar....remember Nebuchadnezzar,, King of BABYLON, took the people of God CAPTIVE and killed many of them. And Trump posted a video about Gaza which included a huge golden statue of himself......that remind us of anything, oh my! Prophetic times we are living in.

The pope preaches an anti christ message . Happy to see you see that .
HE has said this . HE and his interfaith interreligious dialgoue
has said many wicked and vile lies to the false relgions too .
He is a champion of this lie . But he is not alone . it has heavily influenced and infiltrated a whole lot of even the protestant realm too .
Rather odd huh . That we can see the deadly dangers within the progressive new age elites
And yet many have no idea its all over the place now . Interfaith and the abraham peace accords
the religious tolerance act , CAME FROM THE PROGRESSIVE mindset .
And yet here it is being championed in by the nar realm , TRUMP n vance .
I am telling us all a delusion has been sent . And this false love lie is gonna take everyone who is not written
in the lambs book of life . WHOSE FAITH and TRUST was NOT TRULY IN GOD and HIS CHRIST .

socialist agendas are indeed deadly .
And yet many now follow such a thing and have no idea they do .
THEY have rebranded a religoin my friend .
AND it is being done through INTERFAITH . a socially engineered love religoin
that all religoins will believe is of GOD and is love . YET WHOM does it serve . A socialist agenda .
WE are being decieved . A one world so called love religoin to merge all religoins
TO come together and even beleive they serve the same GOD through this so called love .
WE are being decieved .
It has promised to usher in a world of peace n safety , even peace in the middle east .
WE are being decieved .
Interfaith interrligious finding common ground IS A SHAM . ITS all a lie meant to sound good
I hvae seen what its leaders teach . IT is of anti christ . NOT GOD .
WE are being deceived . And both sides are heavily influenced BY IT , as is more and more in all religoins .
WE are being deceived .

For those of you thinking God appointed this serial liar Trump, consider:

Hosea 8:4 in the King James Version states:
"They have set up kings, but not by me; they have made princes, but it was not by my knowledge."

This verse expresses that the Israelites have chosen leaders without God's approval and that their actions have led to their own destruction.
