Was the Transfiguration a vision, or an actual appearance of Moses and Elijah?

What does "spiritually dead" and "spiritually alive" mean? Physical life as a metaphor for - for what?
Physical life isn't a metaphor, it's a reality. Physical death is inevitable, not metaphorical. (as I understand it)
Is the death in the scripture below physical, or spiritual?

Ephesians 2:1-2 NIV
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world
and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is
now at work in those who are disobedient.

1 Corinthians 15 is all about Resurrection. What is the nature of the Resurrection body? Where does it exist? What properties does it have?

Think it through.
How will we stand before the Judgement seat of Christ if we have no bodies?
Who will be held accountable for our deeds if we have no soul?

Exactly. Physical life and physical death are used here as a metaphor to explain a more abstract truth.

How is it that we were dead in our transgressions and sins? What are we now?

What is "dead" a metaphor for here?
Not a metaphor. The reality of spiritual death that we inherited from Adam.
On the day you eat thereof, you will surely die.

How was it that they died that day? Physically, or spiritually?

We're still talking past each other. "Spirituality" is an abstract concept. The author is using the well-known concept of physical life and death to describe the abstract. This is how language is used.

Remember, I'm an engineer. I deal in stuff you can see and test and measure. "Spiritual death" is something that you can't put the oscilloscope probes on. I also have write and interpret specs, so understanding how language is used is important. You're song writer. How language is used is what you deal in.

Have you not been born again? Born (reborn) of the Spirit?
In my experience there is nothing abstract about it.
I was made (remade) from the inside out. I highly recommend it.

When I enter the church building I can feel the tangible presence of God surrounding me.
I have been in services where it was so thick, you could cut it with a knife.
As I walked toward the front of the sanctuary it was like entering a pool of warm water.
I have been overcome to the point of being weak in the knees. And even collapsing on the floor at times.
I highly recommend it.
