You can contemplate some other things in the scriptures that speak in the same way, for example "gain", even as much as one could gain the world this way.

Paul says,

1 Cr 9:19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

1 Cr 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

1 Cr 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

1 Cr 9:22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

Whereas Jesus said,

Luke 9:25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

Similarly Paul continues down further saying

1 Cr 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

And so even in that instance, his question, "what is 'a man' advantaged if 'he gain' the world (even through preaching) but 'he himself' be castaway.

Which makes sense when he says to Timothy,

1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

The same could shown in the Pharisees Jesus said, "they say, and do not", he told them to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

As is also written

Job 27:8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

Or similarly

Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Theres just a few places you can take what Jesus said and bring into it what can be compared to with it but I cannot understand where a nations borders were what he was speaking of here.

Those who embrace Jesus as their Lord and treasure the principles of the Kingdom of God will also be motivated to follow their Lord by giving their lives as a witness and testimony to God's Kingdom.

As has been said, Heaven has a gate and a strict members only vetting process for entry.And a God that is a law giver.

It is a privilege to enter a country. Not a right. America is the only country with an open border policy. Which might as well nullify our immigration laws.

The poem on the Statue of Liberty, known as "The New Colossus," was not originally part of the statue. It was written by Emma Lazarus in 1883 for an exhibition and auction to help raise funds to complete the Statue of Liberty's pedestal. The poem was later inscribed on a bronze plaque inside the pedestal in 1903, 17 years after the monument was unveiled. Therefore, the poem did not come with the statue when it was first dedicated in 1886, but was added later as a way to reflect the statue's symbolism of hope and opportunity for immigrants.

On this graven image (which was given to this nation) is a poem some woman made up to raise money for its own pedestal. For whatever perceived idea she thought the graven image stood for.
