Several years ago I was in another Christian forum and I ran into a cult type following of believers who held to a strange doctrine.

They called the doctrine “hyper grace”. As I debated their beliefs I found that basically what they believed in was a sin all you want and still be saved type doctrine.

Basically they believed the grace of God was like a license to sin. But I also noticed how many of them tried to justify an ongoing sinful lifestyle.

Here is how many of them described it. They believed that when they sinned it was only their body that was sinning, but not their spirit. So in their minds they believed no matter how much they sinned in the body, their spirit remained squeaky clean.

So I gave this doctrine a name. I called it a doctrine of a disassociated identity. Because they do not identify with the sins they commit in the body.

And as I thought about this, I thought, this is kind of like a transgenderism of Christianity. They “identify” as Christians, but in reality they are truly of the Devil.

This is the same type of mentality that is in the transgender movement. They “identify” as something they are not.

This is a strong delusion that has even infiltrated Christianity.

“LICENSE” to sin… is basically saying…a man is born IN Sin…and once Forgiven by God…they have the OK to continue sinning…

FACTUALLY…
“What QUALIFIED as “SIN”…began the OT, when God DIVIDED MANKIND…
“HEBREWS” a race

“GENTILES” a race

Hebrews, were given:
* TEN commands
* 600+ “STATUTES”…(meaning written Laws)
* PRECEPTS (often mixed in with written Laws)
* CURSE Laws (ie penal laws)

The VIOLATION of the Ten Commands…
The VIOLATION of the 600+ statutes…
….WERE…”SINS AGAINST GOD”…
FOR THE HEBREWS…WHO were Given the LAW……AND…Agreed to abide BY the LAW(S)…..AS WELL AS….expect the CURSE LAW to be applied to THEM, should they VIOLATE the LAWS……AGAINST…GOD.

TRESPASSES…were “wrongful ACTS of men Against Men”…(PRECEPTS)
Man Against man…could iron out their differences….forgive one another…correct a wrong doing of one against the other……
OR continue in their DISPUTE.

The GUARDIANS of the HEBREW TEMPLE…or offspring / branches SYNAGOGUES….
Had sitting authorities;
Priests, Bishops, Deacons…(ie the Guardians, rule keepers, etc.) HAD the JOB…
Pretty much as A modern Court…
* Hear the unsettled disputes, investigate, hear the accused and witnesses testimonies…and CONCLUDE a Judgement…

IF…it was an OFFENSE AGAINST Gods Laws…it was a SIN…and the CURSE consequence EFFECTED…
* Once a YEAR, the Hebrews would pilgrimage to the TEMPLE to OFFER TO GOD, their SIN OFFERING, to receive their forgiveness.
NOTING….the Guardians DID NOT GIVE MEN forgiveness for a mans VIOLATION AGAINST GOD…(that was Gods Place).

* At ANY time, the Guardians could hear the dispute of TRESPASSES…of man against man…and PRONOUNCE a “judgement” of who own who what…and enforcement of the “judgement”.

REMEMBERING WHO Gods Law was GIVEN TO……and WHO Agreed to abide by Gods LAW…….THE HEBREWS…(which as population increased, so also did, the land needed, and means to distribute information….AND….the Descending Generations…”not ALL having accepted what their ancestors “agreed” to uphold”

ENTER…the appointment of ISRAEL…the Twelve Tribes…(primary)…..and again over time…descendants…agreeing…and falling away…many mixed with Gentiles, adopting their ways…the big pic

*. FORGIVE the SIN of UNBELIEF…against Him.
* AND KEEP that man from EVER AGAIN (committing SIN) Against God.

Back to Trespasses……OF Mens Negative behaviors AGAINST MEN….(sometimes intentional….sometimes not intentional).

THOSE ARE NOT “SINS”…
THOSE ARE “TRESPASSES”…
THOSE ARE “infractions”…MEN CAN Forgive.

Men can NOT sin against men.
Men can NOT forgive sin.

Men trespass against men.
Men CAN forgive trespasses.

Men…confuse….SIN and TRESPASSES….
Men who CLAIM they have BEEN FORGIVEN their SIN….AND have “a license to sin”….
ARE UNINFORMED…of the TRUTH…
They…are trespassing against men….AND THINK God gave them the OKAY to do so…

Men will behave toward other me….AS THEY FREELY, willfully Choose (or by accidental unintended happenstance)….
WHAT GOD Authorized and Approved and Taught………WAS TO REFRAIN from trespassing AGAINST other……..AND the REMEDY..to AMENED your wrong doing, ASK the other man for HIS forgiveness…OF YOUR TRESPASS Against him…

AND “IF” YOU do those things….(and the other chooses to NOT forgive you…don’t worry about it….). If you do those things…
GOD WILL FORGIVE “your trespasses” and acknowledge your amendment toward another.

The teaching has become BLURRED…
SIN is AGAINST God………Unbelief
TRESPASSES are Against men….wrong doing…(oppressing the others liberty).

Only God forgives SIN.
Men routinely can forgive TRESPASSES.

No they do not believe this. they believe Grace and mercy give us the reason to have faith. And it is this faith which empowers us to overcome sin.

This is a think Called Gnosticism.. It is not knew, in fact it is a few thousand years old.

Often these types are unsaved hyper religious water baptized worshipers of the Law and Commandments, who reject God's Grace, and seek to redefine Salvation, as it exists, by subverting it as their idea of "License to Sin", and "Hyper grace".
Trying to do this, is their "ministry".

Argh, clumsy fingers. Had to redo. Gnosticism does exist today. It changes with the centuries and the culture. You just have to learn to recognise it. It exists today, among other ways, as feminism. Yes they do exist. There are plenty of people out there who think that all they have to do is pray "the prayer" and that's all they have to do. And then they go on in their lives thinking they are covered and can still sin like hellions

Well they do not follow the hyper grace movement. I have looked at what the leaders say and they say they opposite.

No w licentiousness is alive and well. It’s just as dangerous as legalism. Both lead to hell

Best leave it to the words of Paul. Where sin abounded. Grace abounded so much more

I had a bible teacher that used to speak with me regularly online (I am in Canada, he is American). And one time when we were chatting he was watching a snuff film. I told him do you truly think God would like you watching that? He rebuked me for impinging on his 'freedom'. But I found myself thinking What kind of freedom in Christ did he think he has- freedom FROM sin or freedom to sin? The problem with him was that he was a former Shaolin temple monk (seriously) and he always maintained the mindset of the Shaolin temple, or one of his kung fu schools where you do not question the master. So it could be very hard to convince him that just maybe he could be wrong once in a while

OSAS, is not about praying the prayer to receive Christ who is "The Gift of Salvation".

and that's all they have to do.

Well, regarding becoming a Christian, you can't earn it, so you can't lose it.

Salvation is not of you.....>Its all of God... Its a GIFT, from God.= ."The Gift of Salvation" and this is RECEIVED by Faith.

God saves Sinners, who are 'Yet sinners', who are still "" ungodly"".. who understand this about themselves.., and want to be forgiven....
So, they turn to the eternal Forgiveness, that is found as The Cross of Christ.

See, Jesus is Salvation., and God has accepted His Sacrifice, His blood and death, so that by This OFFERING of Christ to GOD... for your sin and mine.... GOD can accept us... and forgive us.. .and give US... the believers, = HIS>.. eternal "Gift of Salvation.""

Notice these Gifts.

1.) The Gift of Salvation
2.) The Gift of Righteousness
3.) The Gift of Eternal life.

And here is the understanding...

JESUS is those Gifts.. so, when we put OUR faith in Christ, God then seals us, with the Holy Spirit, having forgiven all our sin...to thereby give the believer a spiritual birth, so that we are now JOINED to Jesus... as "IN CHRIST"..
So to be joined to Jesus is to have what He is... and He is Salvation, Righteousness, and Eternal Life.

This is why Paul teaches us that the born again.. have become = """ "THE... Righteous of God... IN Christ"."""..

And then they go on in their lives thinking they are covered and can still sin like hellions

Is there a sin that The BLood and Death of Jesus, has not covered, paid for, and dealt with, regarding a born again Christian?

He has paid for them all with His Sacrifice of Himself on The Cross.

Notice,..... Jesus is our "SIN Bearer" because """God hath made JESUS to be SIN for US""">.. "US" = '"the born again, not the water baptized and religious fakirs.

Notice... """"Jesus is the ONE TIME...... ETERNAL ... Sacrifice for SIN"""...

NOTICE>.. "ETERNAL sacrifice for sin".. ...that means past, present, future = ETERNAL Sacrifice for SIN.

So, when that GIFT of Salvation that is the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS... has been "imputed" to the the born again..... then are literally made free from sin... forever.

Now, what happens to you, if you choose to willfully live in Carnality ????.....such as watch soft porn Netflix movies and programs... using your Netflix cable channel, most nights each week?

So, the Christian sits there, watching a lot of sensuality, occasional nudity...for years.... and they know what they are doing, before God.

That's willfully carnality..

What does that get you?

It typically gets you Hebrews 12:6, more often.

And on the way there.....this carnal pleasure....that you are choosing.....gets you a deadening to the things of God....and it can lead to more carnality.........but, it can't lead you to a loss of your salvation, as this is just carnal behavior, and none of us who are born again, were saved based on our Behavior, as God does not save us <>forgive us based on our Behavior.....>>He saved us, based in The Cross of Christ and that is an Eternal Redemption, not a temporary one.

Christ's followers are sometimes accused of practicing a religion that gives people a
license to steal, so to speak.

Well; that's true to a certain extent because his followers do have immunity from any,
and all, of the curses that Moses' covenant imposes on disobedience per Lev 26:3-38,
Deut 27:15-26, and Deut 28:1-69 because their association with God is via a different
covenant wherein are no curses for non compliance.

However; there is a significant difference between liberty and license. Whereas license
bears no responsibility for its actions, liberty incurs consequences when it's abused.

A silly old fool is a senior citizen that people know they can mistreat and/or take
advantage of without fear of complaint, resistance, or reprisal.

People in our day and age are easily persuaded that God is harmless and that the Old
Testament's version of God is obsolete, i.e. He's no longer someone to fear since Jesus
came along. But as the righteous were in danger of God withholding blessing for
conduct unbecoming back then; they still are.

● Gal 6:7-8 . . Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he
will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap
corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.

NOTE: Eternal life is not the same as immortality. The latter pertains to a body immune
to death whereas the former pertains to the divine nature spoken of by 2Pet 1:2-4.

According to John 5:24 everyone trusting Christ for safety from retribution possesses
eternal life; but quite a few of its beneficiaries fail to experience much of it before
passing on due to their unacceptable ways.

So then; for sure there's a bit of a moral hazard within Christianity. However, God prefers
that people dead to Moses' consequences not allow human nature be the dominant force
in their lives. (e.g. Rom 6:1-13 and Col 3:1-17)
