I hope we are no embarking on truth by poll...

There is no distinction between God who authored the Old Covenant and God who authored the New Covenant.

So you would side with the majority on this poll?

God does not change, we worship the God of the OLD covenant.

The poll is not to determine truth, it is to determine a view on God.

Which God you choose comes with a character. An OT, or a NT character.

I'm with the majority.

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Malachi 3:6 - “For I am the Lord, I do not change.

Revelation 4:8
-
“Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!

Yahavah, the God of Israel; who spoke his Word. And through his Word, it seems people pray in Yeshuas name, with praise to the Father, and thankfulness even to the Son.

Something to note is how even Greek gods seemed to have names... so therefore the God of Israel would have a name, YHVH, Yahavah, is the pronouncing of the proper name of God, that I am use to.

Exodus 6:3
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Yahweh/Yahavah I was not known to them.

Yahavah, speaking I am that I am, is explaining "I am the self-existing one" but that is not a name...

While that is most likely true, the OT writers described God from their perspective,
and the NT writers described God from their perspective. These views were quite different. IMHO

Question: is calling God "Father" only found in the NT?
I don't recall that approachable familial relationship being spoken of in the OT.

Psalm 68:5
A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, Is God in His holy habitation.

Psalm 89:26
“He will cry to Me, ‘You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.’

Psalm 103:13
Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.

Proverbs 3:12
For whom the Lord loves He reproves, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.

Proverbs 4:1
Hear, O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding,

I could go on...

There is plenty of OT references to the father relationship with God.

I'll give you a E for effort. Thanks. However...
The NT far surpasses these metaphorical references. .
The God of the OT pales by comparison.

Mmmm... The OT=metaphorical. The NT=real. That idea doesnt wash with Jesus who said that we should pray daily to Our Father and that scripture cannot be broken.

Pray daily is in the NT, not the OT.
When Jesus said "scripture cannot be broken" it is a parenthetical comment to an OT scripture.

John 10:35 NET
If those people to whom the word of God came were called ‘gods’
(and the scripture cannot be broken),

Psalm 82:6 NET
I thought,[a] ‘You are gods;
all of you are sons of the Most High.’[b]
