“The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith will publish its new norms for the discernment of apparitions and other supernatural phenomena May 17, the Vatican press office said.

Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez, prefect of the dicastery, and Msgr. Armando Matteo, secretary of the doctrinal section of the dicastery, will present the document at a news conference, the press office announced on May 7.

The last time the Vatican’s doctrinal office issued norms for evaluating alleged apparitions and reports of supernatural events was in February 1978. …”

Forty-six years since the norms were last updated. What is so different now than it was back then that an update is needed?

"Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith"

"Vatican Press".

Gotta love those epic man made titles.

Some of my favorite's include, ...

"the cult of the Virgin"

"Perpetual Virgin"

"Assumption Day" (Mary's)

"Pope".

Why don’t you start a thread on it? This isn’t a Catholic bashing thread.

The purpose of my thread is to discuss the updated norms for the discernment of apparitions and other supernatural phenomena that will soon be released.

I listed other Catholic theology., because its related to the Thread.

This thread isn’t about other Catholic theology.

You’re Catholic bashing. Plain and simple. What you wrote has nothing to do with the updated norms.

Your Thread is related to posting Catholic related information.

My thread isn’t that broad, nor do I want it to be.

If you want such a thread, then you should consider starting one; or find one which already exists that will serve your purpose.

Of course it is. You responded to it.

Let me rephrase.

"its not stated in the Thread Topic", as you originally wrote it."

But now that you have subsequently told us that you only want to keep the topic on that "article"..... is what you mean... then that would be your desire.

I understand.

So, did you read that book?

The purpose of your Thread's Topic was not stated in the Original Post.

However, you did ask a question.

A.) Its important to the Vatican that Catholics know what they are doing regarding updating a certain topic that has not been revised in about 50 yrs.

And i do sincerely appreciate that you posted your Catholic Info on the part of this Forum that is listed as "Non-Christian.

You did well.

I posted some of my favorite Catholic teachings.

You’re out of line. This thread isn’t about your favorite Catholic teachings. See yet again what this thread is about and its intended narrowness to that specific subject.

No, its about the Vatican's recently revised subject matter, and you asked us a question.

I only responded with "Catholic related" posts., and ive answered your Thread's original question.

Specific subject matter; specific question about it.

You know what the topic of this thread is.

"Vatican discussion".. and i posted some more that is related to the Vatican.

We dont have to talk about it it makes you uncomfortable.
I understand.

And if you decide to read that Vatican approved book... " Pope Francis : A Marion Devotion".. you can get it on Amazon, for about $7 USD.

No, this thread is not “Vatican discussion”. As I’ve already pointed out numerous times now, it’s narrower than that. If you want to start a thread on “Vatican discussion” then please do.

I understand.

Start a thread on it and maybe I’ll be comfortable discussing it with you there.

And if you decide to read that Vatican approved book... " Pope Francis : A Marion Devotion".. you can get it on Amazon, for about $7 USD.

If you choose to continue acting this way in the thread then I’ll handle it another way.
