Unfortunately, not everyone will receive eternal life Epi. Only those who God has foreknown. Those who are elect according to His foreknowledge....He will have mercy on who He has mercy, who He has already decided before the world was. We don't get to decide that. We don't get to judge, only God does.

yet you judge. You sound like a Calvinist. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. You are assuming that only the elect are saved from the lake of fire. That is not taught in the entire bible. But it is preached in the man made churches. So then you are showing your indoctrination...and a lack of understanding of the bible. No matter what you read...you will interpret it through your "covering" that comes from Egypt.
He is the only one who knows what anyone truly is, on the inside

You judge according to doctrinal beliefs. Amigo would call that being 'inclusive" or merciful or whatever.
...while we can only see outward appearance of things and circumstances. He has already given everyone the gift of life while on earth. But not everyone will go on into eternity....and He doesn't owe that to anyone......and He has chosen His Son to be the Way to eternal life.

You are not understanding the gospel. Jesus as the way into eternal life is for right now. Inheriting life is a whole other issue. You are confusing the two standards.

You are NOT entering into life now...in Zion...to walk as Jesus walked. THAT is by the power of the gospel. All the while condemning those who will inherit life later. So you have fallen in the cracks so to speak. That is God's trap...His net, that He catches the hypocrites with.
Bible says there is no other name/way by which man can be saved.

Do you really think that a person just says the magic word...magic Jesus...just believe ON Jesus..not under Jesus, not beside Jesus...but ON Jesus. Get your religious ducks in a row...and then you can justify yourself and condemn the poor, the needy, those who suffer, the widow, the fatherless...and everyone who is not as religiously stuck up as yourself. God has a way of judging that men have not considered.
There is nothing murky or grey or unclear about that....it's clear and unambiguous.

Religiously clear. Believe ON Jesus and "go to" heaven. Don't believe on Jesus and burn in hell. Got it. Your actual god is Rumpelstiltskin ...get my name right or die.
If you are looking for humility, I would think it is humility to submit ourselves to His rule on the matter....His choice as to how man may be saved. It's not my druthers, because my flesh wants to exalt all flesh....but God's.
You justify yourself.

Watch and see what happens brother. I'm telling you as the Lord has been gracious to show me, that spirit is alive and well. Being released from the pit to deceive the nations (esp the church among the nations).....restrainer being taken away. And when the Temple gets re-built in Jerusalem........don't have anything to do with it. Flee it. When you see the abomination of desolation. Go my people, enter your rooms and lock the door until my wrath passes by....His wrath being a very strong seductive cult like delusion that they are being given over to. If it were possible it would deceive the very elect. Flee to the mountains, the high places of God.
But John's messenger NEVER described Mystery Babylon as being a "spirit". He called it a literal city. That city of Old Jerusalem was guilty of the blood of the saints and martyrs of Jesus. The Jerusalem religious leadership killed many in the early church, beginning with Stephen, and going on from there. Christ accused the city of Jerusalem of the blood guilt of all the prophets and servants of God sent to her. John was merely repeating this concerning the city of Old Jerusalem's crimes against the apostles, prophets, and servants of God.

There is no need for a third temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem in order to fulfill Christ's and John's prophecy. The believers obeyed Christ's Luke 21:20-21 warning in AD 66. By comparing the casualty records in Israel of the years from AD 66-70 with the AD 66 Passover census in Jerusalem, about 1-1/4 million people did not return to Jerusalem during those years from AD 66-70. They understood Christ's (and John's) message to "flee" Judea and Jerusalem or to "come out of her". The mountains they fled to were literal hills such as the region of Pella in the Decapolis where they lived during those war years.

You also related how you were attracted by new age thinking. Knowing what is wrong doesn't give you much of a clue of what is right. Case in point.
Yes, new age typing thinking in the church kind of goes beyond the mark. We can err in falling short of the mark, and we can err in going beyond it. What we need to do is bring OUR THOUGHTS CAPTIVE TO THE OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST, HIS WORD. Bible says we are NOT TO GO BEYOND WHAT IS WRITTEN.

But being in the enemy's camp and God rescuing you out of it means you come out with spoils....you learn and discern things from your mistakes. All things working together for the good of those who love God. But we need to always be soft and pliable clay in the Potter's hands, teachable and WILLING to be corrected and remolded. Humility must be involved there...being hardened clay is not a good condition to be in.

The conversation is moving fast for me and I forget what post you mentioned something in, along the lines of sanctification not being a progressive thing. I just want to suggest you look at all the scriptures that talk about growing and increasing and adding to our faith, etc. The full stature of Christ is something we GROW into....says the scripture. Whatever theology one has, if is correct, it will not deny the scriptural concepts of growth and increase and building.

Eph 4:11-16

And He Himself gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ,

until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ,

so that we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming,

but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is Christ,

from whom the whole body, being joined and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the properly measured working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

Powers and principalities rule over "cities". We are not wrestling with flesh and blood.

That is the problem. You are limited to your own understanding based on your carnal mind...that only sees words. You can't discern the truth beyond the words. But faith comes by hearing (and reading) so that we can be translated to be where God is. You have to mix the words with faith to go beyond what is written.

Of course you mean that people add in other words..or take them away...which I have also seen you do.

Like when Jesus says..."I came not to call the righteous to repentance". You twist Jesus' words by adding "self" into it...so ironic.
But being in the enemy's camp and God rescuing you out of it means you come out with spoils....you learn and discern things from your mistakes. Too late for that. The deceitful scheme is now the status quo/. And the unteachableness of religious ideological bents means the error is permanent in almost every case.

This no longer happens. We are in state of decay and the truth is no longer tolerated. Look at the church...and the full apostasy..now look at the doctrines and the lofty claims of the fallen ones.

Oh, I agree that this was a severe problem within the city of Jerusalem in the AD 66-70 period. The city of Old Jerusalem became a prison for every unclean spirit in existence (Rev. 18:2 and Isaiah 24:21-23). The entire demonic realm was gathered together and "shut up in the prison" of Jerusalem until its destruction. At that time, both the "kings of the earth" (the high priests) and the evil angelic hosts would be "found wanting" - meaning gone for all time.

Christ had already predicted in Matthew 12:43-45 that His own wicked generation would be plagued in its "last state" by a seven-fold increase of demonic activity more wicked than its "first state" when He had been among them casting out devils from every city along with His disciples. This came to pass in the city of Old Jerusalem / Mystery Babylon during those AD 66-70 years, making it a "Great Tribulation" period that had never been duplicated either before or since then (Matt. 24:21). No city since then will ever have to endure that particular type of tribulation again.

"Tribulation and anguish upon every soul that does evil, to the Jew FIRST.........THEN the GENTILE."

But faith comes by hearing (and reading) so that we can be translated to be where God is. You have to mix the words with faith to go beyond what is written.
What the Holy Spirit does through faith is ILLUMINATE what is written, and He may be saying more than one thing at once. But He doesn't go beyond what is written. That is where many err.

Of course you mean that people add in other words..or take them away...which I have also seen you do.

Like when Jesus says..."I came not to call the righteous to repentance". You twist Jesus' words by adding "self" into it...so ironic.
No I do not. I haven't even discussed that scripture with you so how would you know one way or the other? Yet you accuse. It's talking about those who are righteous in their own eyes....like Job before He encountered the Living God. I'm sure there are many in the church it could be applied to.......but don't make the mistake of assuming it must apply to certain people just because they disagree with you.

I have not seen you do this...although I agree.
That's because you measure everything by whether someone agrees with YOU or not, not whether they agree with what God says.

According to whom?
What is true and correct doesn't contradict God's word. You mean you believe otherwise?

Too late for that. The deceitful scheme is now the status quo/. And the unteachableness of religious ideological bents means the error is permanent in almost every case.
The point is growth....which is progressive, which you denied. And it's not too late because the Lord has a remnant who are growing.

The full stature is a character issue. It isn't a purity issue.
It's both. You can't compartmentalize character and purity like that. Our character matures as our hearts are being purified.

This no longer happens. We are in state of decay and the truth is no longer tolerated. Look at the church...and the full apostasy..now look at the doctrines and the lofty claims of the fallen ones.
The churches aren't growing people up, that's the problem. And it's because they are not functioning in the simplicity and spirit of Christ, but in the way of the world and flesh. Well, Paul essentially said this would happen after he departed, so it isn't as if it is catching the Lord by surprise.......this is always the problem He has with dealing with man....what He does and what He pours out is always above reproach......but then flesh gets in the way and hijacks what God is doing....aka mystery Babylon. It tests us and it's one of the things we have to overcome. Most of us only really start to grow after we "come out" of the churches, being "weaned from the breasts" of mother church into a personal walk with the Lord of growth and learning

What a long day.
I think I pee'd off every nurse and therapist and technician I could get my hands on at the hospital today.
The system is broken.
There is nothing more frustrating than me having to remind them how to do their jobs.

Babylon is fallen.
MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

The industry that should have the most compassion, I find, now has the least.
The care and attentiveness has turned to neglect and absentmindedness.

I'm angry today, and I don't know where to set it down.
I do, but I don't want to. I can't fix the system. They look in your eyes and they lie to you, they patronize you.
And you tell them you know why the system is broken, but they can't fix it either.

I waited for hours for answers. I looked for some kind of empathy or understanding, and I found we'll take care of it, and they never did.

I had to ask for dad's lunch for 2 hours after I saw the meal cart going down the hall. Where is dad's lunch?
Oh, we'll call it in. When, tomorrow? The nurse finally showed up who never read the board to put dad's amplifiers on so he could hear.
I kindly took her elbow and directed her to the board and pointed to the words written there for ALL to see.
Oh, he has trouble hearing? I held my tongue, but my mind was screaming. You know he is, but wait, no you don't because again this is the first time in four days that you ever met him, Just like the nurse the day before and the day before that and the day before that.
Ofcourse you don't know, you've never seen him.
The system is broken..

As I left today I pointed out that dad's urine is really cloudy since this morning. His kidneys are acting up. His back hurt.
And they told me they don't test unless he has an infection.
I said, HOW DO YOU KNOW IF HE HAS AN INFECTION UNLESS YOU TEST!!!?????

They will be moving him to rehab in two days. He can't sit up, he can't stand up, he can't even scratch his chin.
He cant feed himself, he cant get on the pot, it's all he can do to keep his eyes open.
And they say he's ready for rehab.

Well, HALELUIA!! Maybe there be people there that know how to take care of people rather than worry about their DEI agenda.

We read about a lot of things in the bible and we can see the justice or injustice of what's written.
But when you walk in the land of Babylon everything is fallen.

I think they are sending him to rehab so they don't have to hear me rant everday when he asks for water and they give him none, or he needs a change and says they will be there but it takes hours. Dad needs water even if a sip every hour because he is highly dehydrated.
And his IV bag is disconnected. He has rashes on his butt, and his legs hurt and they do NOTHING.

And I can't be there 24/7 which really scares me. Because I don't know what I don't know.
And at least when I'm there I can push for what he needs. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB!!!

Don't mind me I'm just ranting. And I don't know how to set it down.
I'm tired and I can't sleep. I'm hungry but I don't want to eat.
I'm angry and I'm upset, and it's raging inside me.

I only have one dad and I don't think I'll have him much longer. And I can't do what I want to do to fix it.

The System is Broken.
Babylon has fallen.
And nobody cares except for themselves and their paycheck.

Appreciate your shoulders.
Hugs

I do agree that the Christian message is being watered down to the point where it is scarcely recognizable. Jesus' own teachings had a strong social element, but it certainly wasn't a message that eliminated all concept of sin, repentance, judgment, etc. On the last forum I was on, one of the most popular characters (60,000 posts) insisted that Jesus' message was nothing but Pure Agape Love for everyone and everything and that anything about sin and judgment in the OT or NT was the product of "primitive, barbaric, carnal" thinking on the part of the biblical authors who couldn't accept Jesus' "real" message. Naturally, his brand of "Christianity" was more popular with the many atheists than with the other Christians!
It is my belief that Agape Love is the end of the walk of faith, when we learn to truly obey Christ's new commandment, to love one another as Christ Loved us.... This comes from much conviction, repentance, and judgment to even walk this path (See 2 Peter 1:5-7). The Most powerful prayer in scripture is Psalm 139:23-24, David prayed this after saying how much he hated his enemies... Christ commanded us to love our enemies, to bless those who persecute you, without allowing God to search our heart, convict us of our sinfulness, Agape Love will never be perfected in us. How do we love even our enemies? By the work of the Spirit in us. if we do not allow the Spirit to work in us we remain in a complacent state of immaturity in the faith, never growing to the point of True agape Love... instead we are mistaking warm fuzzies with Agape love.... to the contrary, Agape Love hurts, but we do so with Joy because in that while we were yet sinners and enemies Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8-11.... Read this with the above in mind)

I hear your frustration sister. The care has pretty much gone out of Health Care here where I live too. Some of it is due to staff being demoralized and burned out I believe. If it's any comfort, I think Rehab will probably be better for your Dad...they should at least be getting him dressed and up out of bed more and it might stimulate him to perk up some. Staying in bed for too long can bring on more health problems.

I found this interesting concerning the King of Assyria:

And Tophet is an interesting word:

Tophet or Topheth = "place of fire"

Isa 30:31
For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.
Isa 30:32
And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.
Isa 30:33
For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.

Jer 7:21
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.
Jer 7:22
For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
Jer 7:23
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
Jer 7:24
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
Jer 7:25
Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
Jer 7:26
Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
Jer 7:27
Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
Jer 7:28
But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
Jer 7:29
Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
Jer 7:30
For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.
Jer 7:31
And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.
Jer 7:32
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place.
Jer 7:33
And the carcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
Jer 7:34
Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

Hugs
When the world , its schools , its workplaces and etc brought in the inclusive love
what did we expect . The very thing they thought would usher in love has ushered in only empty and angry hearts .
Always looking but never finding the peace they so long for in this world .
What do we think happens when socities and etc KICK GOD OUT and replace HIM with inclusive love .
It will never give them the fullfillment they thought . And always they look for A solution .
The final solution of delusion is all about inclusivity . This world will help to destroy itself and shall never attain the peace n safety
it sought to attain . When a nation rejects GOD , believe you me , AINT NUTTING GOOD coming upon it .
The nation that abandons GOD gets turned into what ...........................................................

OBEY WHO and WHOSE VOICE . exactly .
And now a word .
THIS is my beloved SON in whom I am well pleased ..........HEAR YE HIM .
Now did JESUS PREACH the dire need to find common ground , to be diverse , inclusive ....
OR did he preach the dire NEED to BELIEVE ON HIM
and say WHY do you CALL me Lord and yet DO NOT the things that i say ...........
TIME for all out focus to be put again into the holy book which contains the HOLY SPIRIT inspired words of GOD .
Cause men aint saving squat . they have only encouraged the peoples to HOPE IN MEN and in this world .
And that is bad news indeed .

As we watch memebers growing old
remember they were once our age too .
This life is but a vapor . THE ONLY ONE THING that ever does and ever will have mattered in this life
IS THIS and this alone . DID WE KNOW THE CHRIST OF GOD . Paul once walked the earth too .
and now for centuries he no longer is in this world . many generations have come and gone my friend .
THEY all once lived , and now are gone . THE ONLY THING that matters in this vapor life is , DID WE KNOW and LOVE CHRIST JESUS
The apostels once lived as do we , but now are long gone , perhaps not even their bones remain .
What matters IN THIS LIFE , IS DID WE TRULY COME TO CHRIST JESUS .
Because IN HE ALONE IS ETERNAL LIFE . ETERNAL LIFE IS FOREVER , this life is but a flicker of light and is gone .
What matters is DO THEY KNOW JESUS CHRIST . Not inclusive false love , BUT JESUS CHRIST , HIS LOVE ,the LOVE OF GOD .

Amen....the wood hay and stubble of our flesh nature. And when we pass through the fire it will not kindle upon us....but upon the usurping enemy of our soul.

No His name is not a magic word.........His name speaks of His Person, His Spirit. We must receive Him in truth, in fact - His Spirit within, in order to be "of" Him, otherwise we are not of His the bible says. The more I see of this lost world the more my heart breaks for them.....I was once one of them and I haven't forgotten what that was like, empty and rudderless - lost sheep without a shepherd just follow each other, following the lost world which only knows the way to perdition, not to green pastures.

Amen, seven attributes to attain, to add to our faith. You prompted me to do a search for the number 7 in scripture. How it pertains on a personal level. His word in us tried 7 times......7 seals opened in our hearts, one at a time.....furnace heated 7 x hotter.....judgment beginning with His house, with us. 7 sprinklings of cleansing. There is lots...happy hunting.
