Can a person who has known God walk away from Him? God will not leave us or forsake us but what did Adam and Eve do? Was not the first man Adam a son of God who walked away from God by his own disobedience?

Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Luke 3:38

Did Adam not die when he ate of the forbidden tree?

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Gen 2:16-17

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Gen 3:6

Mat_11:29 take up my yoke upon you, and learn from me, because I am meek and humble in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls,

How can we refuse such an amazing offer?

Adam was perfect. and tested by God. Adam failed. We all failed.. We all still fail..

That's different than walking away.

I agree, but consider the number of dead people [unbelievers] walking around on planet Earth. How blind and deaf they must be... like dead bodies.

Wow. Jesus is the one who said to fear He who can destroy both body and soul in hell. Is there another alternative between the lake of fire and eternal life? I don't see any in scripture. Either wrath or not appointed to wrath....is there something in between?? Either death or life...what else is there?
This is rich. Well, nothing they mentioned in Sunday school...that's for sure. I suppose this lack of knowledge leads you to condemn people who are not condemned and champion people who are such.

There are 4 eternal destines for people not two. The immature will react to this as it doesn't fit with their indoctrination.

You are not including outer darkness. Nor the saved in the nations. (Besides those that are cast into the lake of fire and the saints who dwell in the holy city)

Now the hypocrites are saved, as by fire...but are not permitted among the nations (no righteousness) nor are they allowed into the holy city (no holiness). They are not cast into the lake of fire because they are saved. Jesus said that ALL who believe in Him will be saved.

Among the saved are 3 different destinies. Just like in the parable of the Sower (a key parable to all the others) we see 4 kinds of soil with 3 among those who believe.

The shallow soil represent the name it claim it crowd...who begin with joy...but then get offended by the truth.
The weedy soil are the righteous who care too much for the things of this world (including family, people)
The good soil are those rare few who bear eternal fruit. (these have forsaken all to win Christ)

Since there are so few who listen to the words of Jesus...it's probably of no use to cite Rev. 22:11 (which I take as authoritative and a key to understanding the whole of scriptures concerning who we are and how we will be judged)

wow, just wow

is this how you excuse yourself?

There are two destinies

he who believes is not condemned

he who does not believe is condemned already

the condemned are in Hades and will be delivered to Christ for judgment, and suffer the second death

The non condemned are those who are born again, In Christ, and will spend eternity in the new heavens and earth and the new jerusalem.

there are two states your either alive or dead..

Agree--
Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

To whom must we look @amadeus?

1 Peter 3:12
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

Hebrews 12:2
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Isaiah 30:21
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

Proverbs 21:2
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.

Episkopos. Still manufacturing your own theology? Four eternal destinies? Is this something the Gnostics cooked up, or did you get that from the Kabbalah?
I think you are getting close, Halakah-Kabbalah-Mishna-who knows, he has a kind of mystic gospel that only the initiates can know "eternal consciousness"-foreign to Scriptures.--and 4 eternal destinies, this is getting way out of hand.

And which of them has The Father and The Son in the form of The Holy Spirit within. Turn the page from the old to the new, for the old has passed away, and all things have become new. Even the prophets of old said this was coming. "And a new thing I declare". "O Emanuel"
Which translated means" God with us" When Jesus came in the flesh, He was "God with us". And when Jesus sent The Holy Spirit to those that would believe what did He send.

If you could read the bible from a non-religiously indoctrinated perspective, you would see that there are ALWAYS the four being cited. It begins in Genesis 2 with the 4 rivers that flow out of the garden...all the way to Rev. 22:11. If you were a little more perceptive you wouldn't mock at the truth which could actually save you.

Notice how the shallow soil gets offended at the truth. The superficial nature of the modern gospel has spoiled people from being able to tolerate sound doctrine. The gospel has been watered down to such an extent where the truth is mocked...and lies are upheld. Truly we are experiencing the sign of the times and everything we read about in the bible concerning the end times.

How many dark places still within you or within me? How much Light? How much of our little speck of earth/dirt is habitable by God as is?
Is anyone growing darker? Is anyone growing brighter from the Light of God?

Has God ever changed? But man, can he be changed for better or for worse? Can a son of God change for the worse? What about that first man Adam? Did he, a son of God, move toward or into darkness? Is God a respecter of persons?

Amen, we all do need that.

Myself personally, I've also needed to get to the bottom of all this, to learn to discern it clearly and sort out the right from the wrong (and I don't doubt that I'm slower than others and have more difficulty). I believe this is all leading to something that we need to be prepared for and armed against.
A pastor of mine used to say, Everything is preparation for something!

Much love!

Good verses...

Mt 11:15He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Re 3:18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see

I know why the truth contained in the bible seems nonsensical to you. Do you?
We are talking about two destinies-and 4 types/kinds of soil-makes sense?
Mat 13:3 and he spake to them many things in similes, saying: 'Lo, the sower went forth to sow,
Mat 13:4 and in his sowing, some indeed fell by the way, and the fowls did come and devour them,
Mat 13:5 and others fell upon the rocky places, where they had not much earth, and immediately they sprang forth, through not having depth of earth,
Mat 13:6 and the sun having risen they were scorched, and through not having root, they withered,
Mat 13:7 and others fell upon the thorns, and the thorns did come up and choke them,
Mat 13:8 and others fell upon the good ground, and were giving fruit, some indeed a hundredfold, and some sixty, and some thirty.
Mat 13:9 He who is having ears to hear—let him hear.'

What on earth has this portion of scripture, and the 4 rivers-have to do with FOUR eternal destinies?
Four
Arbah [f.], arbahah [m.] Authority, government, rule, dominion, calendar, time, creation, kingdom, fullness, giving of the Torah (Law) and Holy Spirit. The most holy Name of G-d has four Hebrew letters (yohd, heh, vav, heh – YHWH). Judah was the fourth born son and has the scepter of rule. Pictures completeness much like seven. Four matriarchs, four corners of the earth, four horns on altar, four tassles (tzit-tziyot) are to be worn on one’s garment/robe, four living creatures, four horsemen, Four rivers of Eden, four winds, four gospels, etc.

daletOn the negative side there are four beasts (Dan. 7:3). The fourth one is diverse from the others and has ten horns (see info for the number ten below). Then, an eleventh horn emerges (see info on eleven here) that seeks to change times (appointed seasons/feast days) and law (God’s Torah). (Dan. 7:25) This is in direct opposition to the calendar/clock/seasons/law that YHWH gave on day four of creation.

Fourth Hebrew letter: Dalet Numerical value of four. Pictographic meaning door, draw out or in, knock, path, way, portal to heaven, dominion, control, bough, and branch.
Priests wore four garments: a linen tunic, linen breeches, a linen turban, and a long sash. High priests wore an additional four garments (see number eight): the ephod, breastplate, a cloak of blue wool with bells and pomegranates, and a golden plate on their forehead inscribed with, “Holy to YHWH.”

The Mishkan (Tabernacle) had four coverings: badger/porpoise skin, ram skin dyed red, goat’s hair, and embroidered linen.

The Passover Seder is structured around fours: the Four Questions, the Four Sons, and Four Cups of Wine.

Seven loaves fed four thousand with seven baskets leftover. (Mt. 15:32-39)

On day four of creation, the sun, moon, and stars are placed in the sky (natural light) to govern the moedim (feast days). They mark time and give signs. Their natural light separates from the darkness for those on the earth.

God’s calendar and prophetic clock were established on Day Four of Creation.

The Jerusalem Council gave FOUR basic requirements for Gentiles to enter the assembly; from that point they would learn Torah/Moses. (Acts 15:19-21)

Four fasts will one day become cheerful moedim. (Zech. 8:19)

Fourth Feast: Shavuot (Pentecost) Lev. 23

Fourth Spirit of God: Ruach Adonai (fullness of Holy Spirit) Is. 11:2

Fourth Church of Revelation: Thyatira (Meaning perfume, odor of affliction, sacrifice of labor, or castle Thya)

Try as you want--the letter 4 in Hebrew is NOT saying 4 ETERNAL destinies!

Four is indicative of AUTHORITY. The fourth branch on the Menorah is the center, main shaft. It is the source for the other six branches. Yeshua stands in the midst of the menorah. (Rev. 1:12-13) On the fourth day of creation, YHWH declared His GOVERNMENT of the earth and all who dwell in it by creating the sun, moon, and stars. These celestial bodies faithfully keep and proclaim His calendar, His months, His weeks, and His holy days to the world. Only the Creator of the Universe has the ability to define and regulate a man’s clock and calendar. Our life (time) is limited and decreed by the King of all Creation. Every second of our lives is in the palm of His hands whether we recognize His authority or not. Thus, TIME and AUTHORITY are intrinsically linked with day four.

Not 4 eternal destinies!

And the "soil" has noting to do with 4 eternal destinies--go into the Hebrew numerical values-nothing to do with eternal destiny-4, as per your heteron gospel-YOU are mocking the aleithia/emes--you don't work with the Bible, so why mention it?

You really think you suffer for righteousness sake?
