Do you not understand that English is a translation of the Greek, and the Greek makes a distinction which the English does not?
The Greek has FOUR words for the English word "love". And, Jesus said, "Thou art PETROS, and upon this PETRA I will build My church" - which makes "PETER THE PETROS" distinct from the "PETRA" to which Jesus is pointing - which is the thing Peter confessed - that Christ is the Son of the Living God!
Get it? The church is built upon "Christ, the Son of the Living God". Still don't believe me? Read 1 Corinthians 3:11 KJV. Read Ephesians 2:20 KJV. Peter isn't the "Rock" - he was at the time a little pebble tossed about to and fro upon which NO SANE MAN would try to build anything. Speaking of the "SANE MAN", allow me to quote from Spurgeon:

Basically, Paul is saying we cannot earn our way to heaven. Nothing we do, nothing we can be, nothing we say can convince God to accept us...He has already accepted us in Christ, all we have to do is believe it. After belief comes obedience, yet even obedience is impossible without faith, "for without faith it is impossible to please God", and "without Me ye can do nothing".
So all things are by grace and the power, faithfulness, and mercy of God through His Son Jesus, and we can make none of the promises apply to us unless we believe them... Faith. Faith is believing what God says. That's the gospel. It's really quite simple. Forsake the old life, repent of our sins, accept and believe and trust in God's forgiveness, and rely on Him to instill in you the hunger, the thirst for righteousness, and the passion and love for truth. In response to your faith, God bless you with a new heart and a new mindset... The mind of Christ. You become a new creation. Born again. And you may have then the assurance of eternal life, of you abide in Him and return not to your former carnal sinful fleshly selfish life.

Wrong. Peter himself says the only ones able to interpret Scripture are the authors of Scripture itself:
2 Peter 1:20-21 KJV
[20] Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
[21] For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Now, if you have any "Scripture" authored by your Roman Catholic counterparts, I guess you can ask them what their interpretation of it is...but when it comes to "Sola Scriptura", hands off, bro ;)

You are correct, they are one law, literally one word. Yet they are different commands, even promises if you believe. Thou shalt not becomes a promise rather than an injunction.
But if you agree that they are one law, what right did your church have to change the 4yh Commandment from the 7th day to the 1st? Where is the biblical mandate giving man the power and authority to change the very laws of God and written in stone, Jesus Himself declaring that He didn't come to change the law but to meet all it's requirements... You are contradicting yourself here. First you say correctly, that "prophecy is not to be interpreted privately', (that we can't decide truth for ourselves), then declare that the only source of truth is man. That the man belongs to a church is irrelevant. He's still a man deciding on your behalf what is truth and what isn't. You have committed your eternal destiny to the whims and fancies of sinners no better than yourself.
The holy Spirit inspired scripture. Jesus said the holy Spirit was to interpret scripture, teach it to those who read it, and would hear it read.

Those traditions that non Catholics keep for the most part were inherited from Rome. I say non Catholic, because there are very few who profess to be protestants these days, and even less who actually are.

How can salvation happen when we first believed if it’s the end?
If salvation is by “faith alone” then faith would be the greatest!
1 cor 13:13 charity is the greatest!
Even all faith much less “faith alone” without charity avails nothing!

Faith alone” unbiblical!

Baptismal regeneration is the biblical mandate!!!

Truth must be revealed by God, and in its fullness in the sacred deposit of faith by Christ to his church! Eph 4:5 Jude 1:3 and must be taught by the church, or proposed for our belief by the apostles!
