Yes if you use cream and sugar you would have to wash it. I guess I drink mine black so it's probably different.I tend to drink tea, but do re use it during the morning. I tend to only drink a latte at home, may have a second one and then I would wash the cup up. I can’t say I could honestly leave it beyond a day without washing it up……..

When I worked I had a large coffee mug for work and I never washed it hardly ever.I rewash if I'm doing a lot of dishes, but I did not to make my tea.

Otherwise the best way to clean out those stains is a bit of baking soda. Tea I don't really care, unless I added something. I'll still rinse.
Probably turned brown, huh? When I worked I had a large coffee mug for work and I never washed it hardly ever.
Yeah I just washed my coffee cups, they had sort of an air pollution color to them. I just scrubbed them with the Brillo pad part of my sponge and it came right off. I also used anti-bacterial soap for good measure. Got a little paranoid after making this threadProbably turned brown, huh?
The cups don't bother me. A dirty coffee pot does. I insist on running white vinegar water through them once a month.
I just got a new coffee pot to keep my mom happy at my place while I'm at work. Lol I'm not going to clean it out daily, because it's programmed to turn itself on before I wake up, so remembering to refill it is enough on its own.
l problem is those glass dishes that turn dingy. You have to soak those in white vinegar overnight.
Brillo works great on those .. haha I imagine it can't do much harm but more so makes me want to stick to green tea. If you look at the cup and then think of your teeth...Yeah I just washed my coffee cups, they had sort of an air pollution color to them. What if I use the Brillo on my teeth then?Brillo works great on those .. haha I imagine it can't do much harm but more so makes me want to stick to green tea. If you look at the cup and then think of your teeth...:
Lol! I think if you gave that a shot you wouldn't have any left to worry aboutWhat if I use the Brillo on my teeth then?
LOL, you're right. last time I went to the dentist he told me I was brushing too hard anyways  Had to switch to a soft tooth brush and slow down. I was brushing too fast, my tooth brush probably could have started a fire.Lol! I think if you gave that a shot you wouldn't have any left to worry about
I had a similar problem in a coffee maker I left for a while. Mold growing in the coffee grounds that were left in the filter. I've never had the problem with my instant coffee though which is strange. Maybe instant coffee is like Twinkies with a shelf life of 2,000 years.I'll wash out the coffee cup I use at work when it gets too skanky. Maybe once a week. It gets a nice patina of coffee, green tea, and chai at the bottom. But if I make hot chocolate, I wash it immediately after use.
In our Sunday School class, I was responsible for maintaining the coffee maker and washing the cups. The Sweet Lady and I went out of town for a couple of weeks, and apparently nobody bothered to do clean-up. I come back, and there's a blue mold face growing in one of the cups:

Our pastor asked if it looked like Jesus; that would be cool if it was, but...no.
@devin553344 Up here after Covid the coffee chain Tim Horton's paused on using reusable coffee cups...I had a similar problem in a coffee maker I left for a while. But honestly the face in your coffee mug looks like one of the Muppet's.
who's re-using them?@devin553344 Up here after Covid the coffee chain Tim Horton's paused on using reusable coffee cups...
They used to sell reusable cups....then Covid came along...who's re-using them?
Maybe a cross between Charlie Brown of Peanuts fame and Oscar the Grouch? But honestly the face in your coffee mug looks like one of the Muppet's.
