I have scriptures here that says souls and spirits are not imperishable.
If you are referring to the spirit that God breathed into man - the breath of life, that is not something that is perishable. It not material, and it's not a person, like the angels which are spirit persons... that will be destroyed if they are disobedient, like the demons.
The soul is perishable.
God created every living soul - Genesis 1:20-21 ... including man - Genesis 2:7
