yes it does . that is why i said READ THOSE BIBLES . cause way too many are following another jesus .
And that one cannot save .
SO Here is my challenge to all . SIMPLY READ YOUR BIBLE . KJV is the best .
AND dont omit the things that JESUS taught nor the apostels . AND DONT LET MEN omit the IFS and what follows those IFS .
TOO many twist way too much stuff unto their own destruction . I SAY heed every word .
AND when an IF is made , BELIEVE what follows that IF .
An example . FOR we are made partakers of CHRIST , IF , dont ignore what follows , instead believe it .
Every word was wrote for our Good and was inspired by GOD working through men who had the SPIRIT .
JESUS said It himself . HE who endures to the END the same shall be saved .
Lets not ignore those IFS , nor what follows them . INSTEAD embrace Every WORD .
FOR JESUS IS TRULY ABLE TO KEEP US FROM FALLING and the DOCTRINE IN THAT BIBLE IS SOUND .
From every warning to every promise its GOOD FOR OUR SOULS .
I have shared this post in other places as well. Praise the Lord.

I have shared this post in other places as well. Praise the Lord.
Onwards in the glorious LORD. Whatever time we have left its gonna be done pointing to JESUS alone .
For yet a little while and HE that SHALL COME , WILL COME and HE WONT TARRY on that DAY . IT will be fast as lightning and the lambs go home ,but woe unto those who denied HIM .

We are talking about salvation, eternal life. the gift of God by grace through faith. so not sure what your trying to point brother

Salvation can not be earned. If you or I are expecting to earn salvation by , then we are in deep danger.

This type of salvation will not be complete until we are in heaven. Paul still struggled with sin, He said he still kept running the race. Until we are perfected (actually the term is glorified) our salvation from the power of sin will be incomplete.

Bit that has nothing to do with our salvation from the penalty of sin. That is what determines our eternity. Not our failure to keep from stumbling.. If failing to keep from stumbling determines our eternal state. we are all in danger. because no one is qualified under that standard. would you not agree??

Spiritual death is the context here, Not physical death.

If we are made alive in christ, who were dead in sin, We are saved. Just wanted to cut in and see if we understand the same here

What is Gods standard? I think this is where we need to start.

Can we meet This standard. that's the second question.

Paul struggled with pride. Pride is a very deep sin. It was so bad many people believe it is the reason he was given the thorn in the flesh. Did God remove his salvation because he kept failing..

remember, the good book says God has perfected forever, those who are being sanctified. Are we perfected forever while in the process of overcoming sin (sanctification) and who does the work of sanctification. God or us?

Paul also said we can be confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work will complete it? Does God fail?

If sin can keep us from heaven after we are saved, are we not under law not grace? Just asking

Esau = edom (the nation)
Jacob = Israel (the nation)

God told us if we do not hate our parents our spouses and our children we can have nothing to do with him
He also told us we are to love them.
Is God confused?
Or did have a special place in his heart for Israel?

who evercomes the world?

1 John 5:4
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5.
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

We need to be careful thinking we can overcome ourselves. and that we will meet the standard of God and earn salvation.
Very simply my purpose is to love Him. I am not running for heaven or for salvation but for Him, the One who loves me. To say it must be this way or that way is not for me to say. There are rewards indeed, but they are not my goal. They are in God's hands. What does He want of me?

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matt 6:33-34

Help us dear Lord!

...The obsession with assurance of salvation that is displayed assurance of salvation that is displayed by some here on CB bears the appearance of selfishness to me. .

No such mind was in Christ Jesus.
Even so my friend! Let us remember what Jesus as described here by what Paul wrote:

"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves." Phil 2:3

Jesus was selfless in his actions and demeanor. He asked his Father to remove the cup... but he added these words:

"...nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Matt 26:39

1Th_1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance;...look up the Greek word... as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

Heb_6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

Heb_10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Assurance of our salvation is not selfishness.
Anything in our eyes treated as being first [instead of God] even for a moment is selfishness. What is double mindedness? Was Jesus ever doubled minded? How like Jesus are we at this moment? How well do we see him?

Jesus grew! Are we growing... in the right direction? Which way is that?

1Th_1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance;...look up the Greek word... as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
Jesus brought that gospel but upon whose heart has it been written by the Holy Ghost? The meaning of the Greek word is meaningful to whom? How many Greek scholars do not know Jesus?
Heb_6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
The writer of that verse was inspired by God to write it, but for you or me to really understand God's message in it and apply it correctly to ourselves, I would say, requires a similar inspiration by the Holy Spirit in us.
Heb_10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Yes, let us draw near in such manner, but who can do it if not led by the Holy Spirit?
What is the quickening?

Jesus suffered and went to the cross of his own physical death without complaint because it was his Father's will. Are we better than Jesus? Not me!

"Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also." John 15:20

Are we ready for it... or are we hoping to be raptured out of here before the worst of our own suffering is upon us? Help us dear Lord!

Ah dear Amadeus, the Holy Spirit!

Eph_1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

There is nothing we can do without the indwelling Holy Spirit...

Eph_1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,...

There is nothing we do that pleases God if led by any spirit other than the Holy Spirit. Can we still hear other spirits? Can we still choose to obey spirits other than the Holy Spirit?

What is the difference between a "born again" [born from above, or born of God] person today and Adam & Eve as they were before they disobeyed God?

Who is able to break the seal sealed by the Holy Spirit?
"Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God." Luke 3:38

Eph_4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

1Pe_2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

2Pe_3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Good question, are we growing in Christ or are we stagnant?

Jas_1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Rom_5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

Tribulation is for our good

Jas_3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

2Pe_3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

Is God a respecter of persons?

No, we can't hear other "spirits"

No, we cannot obey heteros spirits but the Holy Spirit

No difference between a born from above person and that of Adam and Eve since they were sinless in perfection before they disobeyed

No one can break the seal, once sealed by/with the Holy Spirit we belong to God in Christ and it is a covenant

No, God is NO respecter of persons.

Unstable we are if we are remaining in our double mindedness. Dead we are and finally will be if we are not growing. Are we not then like a pond with no outlet full of the dead and dying?

Jesus is and is to be the Head of the Body of Christ, but who may be included in that Body? We may indeed have a Hope to be in it, but until we are flawless as Jesus was/is as well as completely and always subject to the Head, are we really already a part?

"That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it." I Cor 12:25-26

Are we there yet? What does it take to be there? Who is our brother and how are we treating him all of the time?

Can we see clearly the face of the Head? Do we now know as we are known?

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." I Cor 13:12

When is then?

"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." I John 3:2

Where are you going with this amadeus?

We are talking about a personal relationship with Christ, the Chief cornerstone.

Do we have a personal relationship with Christ, prayer life stale and rotten?

Are we in Christ?

No one belongs to the Lord Christ Jesus unless he/she is drawn by the Father and sealed with the Holy Spirit

Are we denying self, take up our cross and follow the Master?

Are we walking our talk, or talking our walk?

Are we like the world, dress like the world, smell like the world, play like the world, look like the world?

What is pride, and how does it manifest itself?

Do we have a witness, the Ruach haKodesh co-witnessing with our spirit that we are the sons of God?

How do we see? The eyes our our spirit not being enlightened?

Are we biblical illiterate for man shall not live by bread alone...?
