@GodsGrace ; @Lambano A great discussion, no doubt (maybe for another thread); but maybe on topic again...? :)

forums dot thewelltrainedmind dot comAround here (Bible Belt), it is common, especially among evangelical Christians, for the girls under about 40 to have religious tattoos. More do than don't, especially when you get to the under 30 crowd. I hardly know any female at church that is under 30 that does not have a tattoo.
@TakenI know plenty of people with tats.
Friends before they had tats. Friends after they had tats. Tattoos do not define who are my friends.
@Ziggy But anyway you can see why a lot of Christians want to get ink with something faith based, right?I had an idea for a tattoo though, from my last post.
Learn to Discern
...The lines are getting blurred. We need more Ink.
Yes farouk, I can understand Why..@Ziggy But anyway you can see why a lot of Christians want to get ink with something faith based, right?
(Like at 18, for the young Christian it can seem like from the start nailing one's colors to the mast immediately on reaching adulthood.)
@Ziggy Thanks! I do wonder whether with a name like that he ever considered opening a tattoo parlor.....?Funny you should ask..
I went to Dad's last week and on the way home I saw that sign again.
It was an old Library. I think it was called Frank Piercings Library, but only the Piercings was capitalized.
I assumed it was a tattoo shop.
I thought, I need to tell farouk it wasn't what I thought it was.
So here we are.. lol
@Pathfinder7 So was this conference tattoo session that you mentioned back a bit, before the Covid virus? It was short session..on tattoos.
People at the Conference were surprised..
- There was a session on tattoos!
---
The Conference was about 'spiritual maturuty,
gifts & ministry calling'.
---
My guess is ..tattoos session was added.
- Because it might be helpful for those involved in ministry..to know about tattoos.
---
The session was balanced..not too much negative.
- Instructor had experience..outreach ministry to
people with tattoos.
Yes, it was before the Covid..was this conference tattoo session that you mentioned back a bit, before the Covid virus?

You mean, Piercing's Piercings?@Ziggy Thanks! I do wonder whether with a name like that he ever considered opening a tattoo parlor.....?
@Lambano I guess...something like that....You mean, Piercing's Piercings?![]()
No tongue studs, though!Anyway, I guess that in your household you guys are quite experienced about different tattoo/piercing establishments?
@Pathfinder7 Seems from what you say it was a while ago, anyway; and in fact all the young ppl tattooed with Bible verses with whom I have talked seem to have had them done for witness purposes, anyway.Yes, it was before the Covid..
MatthewG said:I have tattoos and don’t care if people like them or not. Thankful I did not get a tattoo that was regrettable in any case. Have thought about getting a new one which is a cross on top of my hand, reminding me of the Lord and to live for him daily which is hard for some even a struggle due to lack of understanding and knowledge.
I have never regretted my tattoo...the tattoo was not liberating-the tattoo represented the liberation and freedom that the Lord had brought me through. The tattoo in of itself was merely the means of expression and the reminder. ..there was thought, study, prayer and discernment involved-and I have always had complete peace about it. ..I did look through scripture and reflect on it before I got one-and it was also something I had to deal with as my sons reached 18 and got tattoos
@Naomi25 Well, I guess after such a long, enforced separation because of the virus, you'll have a lot of things you want to talk about and so it will likely be one of those things...(You may even find that she won't wait to be asked...)Now…let’s hope when I DO see her, I don’t forget to ask about it!
@Behold Some ppl do indeed use the Christian fish symbol <>< as a witness tool tattooed on their wrist or other placement......getting a Cross Tattoo?
I do this......<B>< ....... because i acknowledge publically that im part of "the Way", which is how the early Christians defined their "i make you fishers of Men", faith
So that FISH <>< is a symbol and i use it here..
