The Bereans DID NOT know the genealogy of Jesus which was one of the requirements for meeting what was written for Him to be the Messiah the Jews were waiting for, they were TOLD about His genealogy. The Bereans accepted the VERBAL accounts about Jesus from Paul/Silas. The Bereans then searched Scripture to see if what Paul and Silas were saying about Jesus matched up with what was written about the coming messiah. Since what the Bereans were being TOLD about Jesus matched up with what they were reading they became Christians and accepted the VERBAL testimonies and teachings of The Apostles. That means the Bereans DID accept the human authority of Paul and Silas since they DID NOT witness any of it themselves. To speak with "ex-cathedra" is to speak with authority and that is EXACTLY what Paul and Silas did.

By its false teaching and unbiblical doctrines the Catholic church is denying the hope of salvation to its membership who are told they are born again because they were sprinkled with water as babies. Jesus was not teaching that Nicodemus must be baptized in order to be saved. Baptism is nowhere mentioned in the context.
Born of water is symbolism for spiritual cleansing.Ezekiel 36:25 :“I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities” Which is also what baptism is about...a symbol of a heart already changed.

Hmmmm.....so the "water" in "water and spirit" is not water baptism. What did your men teach you? What is the water? When did what you have been taught start being taught? 500 years ago?

3. They accepted Paul’s oral preaching as the Word of God even before they searched the Scriptures, which also poses a problem for you. Do you accept the oral apostolic tradition as well?

4. You cannot find one verse in Scripture that says Scripture is the only infallible authority of God’s word, and yet that is what you presume.

What is the water? I already answered that. The water symbolizes spiritual cleansing. Believers Baptism for Christians was not a thing yet when Jesus talked to Nicodemus. So how could Jesus expect Nicodemus to understand Christian baptism? But he would have understood that water was a sign of spiritual purity because of the ritual cleanings in Judaism.
