If you are a baptized Christian and a NON-Catholic and NON-Orthodox - you are by definition a "Protestant."Yawn.
I am not a Protestant, I am a bible believing born again, child of God. And you can not take that from me.
prot·es·tant | \ ˈprä-tə-stənt , sense 2 is also prə-ˈte- \
Definition of protestant
(Entry 1 of 2)
1Protestant
a: any of a group of German princes and cities presenting a defense of freedom of conscience against an edict of the Diet of Speyer in 1529 intended to suppress the Lutheran movement
b: a member of any of several church denominations denying the universal authority of the Pope and affirming the Reformation principles of justification by faith alone, the priesthood of all believers, and the primacy of the Bible as the only source of revealed truthbroadly : a Christian not of a Catholic or Eastern church
And if YOU would stop being so dishonest - we could have a civil discourse. If you would stop defending your church and being so angry by saying people who disagree with you protest you. You may be able to find some of that peace as well.
The word has continued inspite of the fact the romans and the church they called by their name destroyed any practical evidence of the real church, and imprisoned or killed any one they deemed to be a heretic for well over 1000 years.
The reformation happened because Rome’s power died. Not because people all of a sudden decided that we needed change.
You want to listen to men and history. Feel free. The jews did that, and by it crucified their own messiah.
Forgive me if i do not want to make the same mistake by thinking that satan did nt do the same thing to the church that he did with the jews.
In Christ’s day, the true believers were not large. It had no power. It was prety much hidden, Because the church of power was the jewish church (ekklesia or gathering) which considered all true believers outcasts, heathen haters of God.
In fact, throughout human history we can say the same thing, with the exception of after the flood where prety much everyone was saved, But look how quickly the true believers again became the minority.
However - statements like the opnes above simply bolster the need for people like YOU to be taken out to the Scriptural and historical woodshed . . .
I have stated ad nauseam that I don't condemn anything OR anyone who sumply "disagrees" with the Cathoolic position. There are several Protestants here that I have conversed with over the years that I would consider friends.
I condemns those who resort to LYING to make their arguments - which you and YOU cronies on this thread have done in spades.
When I admonish you for it - you guys ALL start whining about how "angry" and "mean" I am. Not "angry" at all - just intolerant of your lies and fairy tales . . .
PS - I noticed that you couldn't refute a SINGLE verse I presented in my last post that shows the funtion of the Catholic Priesthood.
Good job . . .
