@David H. frequently posts threads about two castes of Christians.Since when did two classes of Christians appear on the horizon?
SAINTS= BELIEVERS = SAINTS = SANCTIFIED ONES
I find that many people who teach false ideas of the Bible often use unbiblical terms, so that they can give them the meanings they want. Make it sound good, but not being true.@Lambano I think for a theological discussion to be really useful and constructive, sticking close to revealed Scripture and its wording is essential; otherwise, logic and opinion can go just round and round...

Robert Murray M'Cheyne said, It is God's Word, and not man's comment on God's Word, that saves souls...I find that many people who teach false ideas of the Bible often use unbiblical terms, so that they can give them the meanings they want. Make it sound good, but not being true.
Personally I find that Scriptural truth properly understood can be expressed with Scripture in it's plain reading, without much comment.

I find that what is addressed in the Bible to one is addressed to the other, which is no other. The Articles of Remonstrance were published in 1610, and the debate is still on-going after 400 years, so I support Dave H.'s premise that both are biblical. I just think he's trying to prove it the wrong way.

It is antithetical to the family of God, is unsupported, and easily refuted.

In our justification, we are created new, born of God, and God does not father sinners. He fathers one's like Himself, righteous, holy.
There is no pretend, no make believe, but God sees both the corrupt man of Adam who is dead, and the living child He's begotten. No make believe, just living in reality.

There are two “castes” of Christians. Those who are still carnal and ruled by their passions, emotions and will and those who no longer are.
I find that what is addressed in the Bible to one is addressed to the other, which is no other.
When you read, Saints and faithful, you can read it as, "saints, one group, and faithful, another group", or, "saints, even the faithful", that is, all one group. That's the use of the Greek "Kai". And these terms are used interchangeably, so it's the second use.

Why does God chasten his children who are righteous and holy?
Personally I find that premise to be both wrong, and harmful.only and to tie it back to Dave H. original premise.
I have the idea there is a full range of people. Some have not mastered their fleshy works in this area, some in that area. I don't see this being binary as such, that either you are "carnel Christian" or "sanctified Christian". We are all works in process. I personally have yet to meet a single person of whom I've not had occassion to observe some manner of the works of the flesh. There are two “castes” of Christians. Those who are still carnal and ruled by their passions, emotions and will and those who no longer are.
From the two, he has made one new man. There are two “castes” of Christians.
In my experience, certain theological systems that are presumed to be biblical are also harmful. I acknowledge your experience may be different.Personally I find that premise to be both wrong, and harmful.

Great verse there from Philippians 1.6! Someone even has it on his avatar .... :)He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.
There are lots of problems with thinking about things the wrong way. I find that aligning my mind to the reading of Scripture simplifies things tremendously. Just thinking in Scriptural terms. In my experience, certain theological systems that are presumed to be biblical are also harmful. I acknowledge your experience may be different.
I disagree. Do men ask for what they think they already have…?
And yet both sides of the historical debate claim to be backed by scripture. There are lots of problems with thinking about things the wrong way. I find that aligning my mind to the reading of Scripture simplifies things tremendously. Just thinking in Scriptural terms.

The first, God is sovereign, and there is nothing in Heaven, Earth, or Hell that can thwart His plans.
The second, Man is totally depraved and incapable of satisfying God's requirements.
For a man to believe, God must first give him the grace to believe.
So, what of those who believe for a while and then stop believing?
