I've tried that as well. Turns out, I didn't like it. Lol ...and I actually like mushrooms. I just didn't like them on my bacon grilled cheese. lol
Yeah your probably right, maybe I was thinking about sauteed mushrooms on my cheeseburger. But only with white cheese.

I love sauerkraut (and German food in general), but unfortunately, kraut gives me ferocious gas. :eek::eek::oops::eek::eek:
I have a strong German heritage on my mother's side. lol
I bet you have nothing on my husband and his family. They are Italian and they make homemade tortilinis every Thanksgiving (after the traditional Thanksgiving meal). Those are stored and eaten at Christmas and Easter. They have called them "tootalinis" since they were kids bc everyone gets gas ....lol .....but I don't think it's the "tootalinis" .... it's just genetics. lol

It's worth a try bc they're so good for you. Mushrooms are immune boosting. You might love it! :)

I used to sautee mushrooms in garlic and butter and have on my steak. It was so good. I can't BBQ where I'm at now and I miss it.

This is a good meal:

Oh goodness, I almost forgot my most secret ingredients..... I sprinkle garlic powder and redmond pink salt on the outside of the bread with the butter and fry them in an iron skillet ....YUM!!

We had one of those chickens from Walmart with a chef salad and McDonald's fries. My daughter... I tell you she just wants to live on peanut butter sandwiches. But at least peanut butter and whole wheat bread is healthy at least. I'm trying to encourage her to eat different things. At school she does pretty well, I'm just not much of a cook honestly.

Toast some whole grain bread, butter it with real butter and slather it with real peanut butter+raw honey ...add in a little molasses (for iron and richness) ....you could even add in some nutritional yeast into the PB+honey and they won't even know they're getting extra B-vitamins. lol

It's a good quick breakfast or lunch with some apple slices and milk.

My middle daughter is married now and still loves to eat that. lol
